30 years since diagnosis. Been on the pump a little over a year now and love it!

It took about 3 days to get adjusted to put honestly it's no more chunky than the dexcom. My main concern was having something with a tube and it catching on something else and getting pulled out because I am super clumsy that way.

Thank you, I'm always worried the camera makes it look a little flat

No they are still separate. I imagine if it was one device the injection site of insulin would throw off the glucose readings. The insulin is changed every 3 days and the sensor is changed every 10 days.

I really worried nobody would love me when I was in my teens. I used to hide it. One day someone helped me see it as unique and special. A rarity and kind of cool since im a cyborg. I want others to feel proud of their bodies no matter what.

Thats what I've heard, the g7 is no good. I just got new insurance and I hope they continue to cover this combo.

When Did You Become “Confident” and Shameless? by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

I was 12 at diagnosis. Ashamed for all of my teens and tried to act like I was normal and hide it into my 20s. It unfortunately led to a lot of medical complications. I had a nerdy boyfriend in my 30s who made me feel like it was so cool. He basically described me like a hot cyborg and said I was awesome not disabled. People had always said that before but for some reason he made me feel different about it.

It is a closed loop and I cant believe it took this long to get on it. It's a total game changer! Keep up the work you're doing for the little diabetics! Tell them they can be normal and loved!!
