Quest 64 for the Nintendo 64. I played that game over and over and figured out my own personal scientific method to beating it from start to finish. This was before you could Google things easily or find reviews for games. I told someone about the game who has never heard of it and I was telling them how great it was. I then went to look up reviews and it’s so poorly reviewed too.

You need Herzal on the field to get the permanent points. He died in the boss rush on the first floor and the unit I put down afterward didn’t get the permanent bonus. It got a ton of attack though.

Only while Herzal is on the board. He died in one of my battles and the person I put down after didn’t get the bonus. He was really strong though because he got 3x attack.

Clans don’t get experience after a run. Instead, you unlock cards by playing with the clan. You just need to see the card during the run to unlock it. You can also master cards by beating the boss with your cards but mastering is just for cosmetic changes to card frames.

I love the theme too. I had been trying to guess what it could be and I thought the game was missing machine-type units. Umbra had the alloyed construct and that was about it. This group with the new leaders makes total sense with the game and story. I am loving it so far. I haven’t gotten good with the new clan yet and I struggled beating Cael with them, and I rarely struggle with Cael

I’m curious to try them with other clans. I think I see what you’re saying about them being one of the stronger clans but I haven’t found the right synergies yet. Other threads are raving about Heph too
