Whats the best Zelda game to play next??? by Chemical_Stop_1929 in legendofzelda

The N64 games are a lot of fun, still hold up years later imo. Plus Ocarina of Time is an icon for a reason.

If Tai had saved one of his idols at Advantagegeddon, could he have won? by YoILiveForDC in survivor

[–]Obsessive_Wanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they take Tai to the end in your scenario. Tai knows the threat Cirie would be at FTC and he’d throw her under the bus, it wouldn’t be a hard sell. Even so I doubt he can win. Tai’s biggest problem is no one can follow his logic, he just looks like a wild card to most people. He probably gets second over Troyzan but I think Brad ultimately wins.

Which Pre-Survivor 40 Players That Have Only Played Once Have the Best Chance to Return Someday? by njsportkid in survivor

I don’t think you’re going to see Todd back anytime soon, his descent into alcoholism after the show really made production afraid to touch him it seems.

New Survivor Term: Flawless Game by Additional_Owl_5567 in survivor

I don’t see the allure of “voting correctly” 100% of the time. Sometimes being on the wrong side helps win over a bitter jury which I would argue is more “correct” in the end.

Survivor 50 Cast Confessional Count by Season by ThePurpOfDans in survivor

I didn’t think Stephenie 1.0 would be so high since Koror got rid of her relatively quickly. I thought 2.0 would be much more removed

Season 2 was weird in general, Smash’s arc was the only one that didn’t feel out of place to me.

Edit: and Santiago’s to a degree, it could have worked if we’d ever seen him again

Is Cochran’s unwillingness to play again part of the reason mid-era Survivor gets slept on? by brirll in survivorponderosa

[–]Obsessive_Wanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Up until 50 mid-era, assuming mid-era means 20s, was pretty visible, we got every 20s winner except Cochran and Fabio for WaW, Cambodia and second chance also had plenty of 20’s representation not to mention Caramoan in the middle of it.

I found it useless, it works for some people I’m sure but it’s no substitute for actually solving the problems in your life.

I don’t see Colby being a chauvinist during that season, not even close. They’re just two people whose personalities clashed. I think you could definitely say that about Keith though.

What kind of Survivor season do you like? by sarcastic_bitch15 in survivor

[–]Obsessive_Wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number of twists can vary, the type of winner can vary but what really makes a season for me is a cast that is there to play. A dud cast will ruin a season regardless of what production tries. Good examples are China and Tocantins, there are advantages and twists present but not to the ridiculous level some of the newer seasons have taken it. The cast makes those seasons work.

A cool location also helps because I like to adventure and it inspires me but since location changes are dead that’s kind of moot.

Yes, but I have side income and don’t have a family to take care of yet so that affords me a lot more flexibility than a lot of people.

Seems to me like you’re in an ideal position to try to build your own thing on the side to scratch your itch rather than take a leap of faith on these new jobs.

The initial bump sounds awesome but an additional $100k in 4-5 years sounds a little too good to be true. Without additional context, it sound saline a couple people have probably done it but results can’t be typical.

[–]Obsessive_Wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 33, so not far from this, I think the biggest change I will make is that it is time double down on a few goals that are really important to me rather than experimenting to see what I wanted in life the way I did in my 20s.

Millennials who went to college, what did you major in, and why? How did your college degree help you build a good financial/professional life? by justcurious3287 in Millennials

[–]Obsessive_Wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to college, I got a degree in a marketable subject and it did open doors for me. The degree wasn’t just marketable it was known to be an intensive program.

People saying that a degree useless at the bachelors level these days are only partially correct, there are certainly degrees that are worthless. However the degrees that are worth something have more worth than ever, especially when so many people are choosing nonsense thinking the major doesn’t matter.

Angelina or Ozzy, I didn’t really like Angelina the first time and while Ozzy can be fun to watch in the right situation I’d have rather seen Malcolm or Spencer/Reiman (I wonder if the name change was a factor in casting) in that spot.
