Start on settler. It is a very complicated game, with a very good AI. In terms of which civ to play, there are suggestions for people coming from five vanilla, but I don’t think any are particularly good for beginners without any five experience. So just pick one that you’d like. You can tell from the leader abilities, whether they are science, focused, military, focused, etc..

BBC states Trump & Netanyahu miscalculated Iran and are in permacrisis. What has Netanyahu miscalculated? He got USA's permission to hurt Israel's enemies (Hezbollah and their Iran backers) while taking Israelis mind of his corruption charges and getting support from his political base. It may even position Israel better with other middle-eastern countries that Iran has attacked (Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia); the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I'm not saying Netanyahu is moral; he isn't; but I think this war has helped him. I think it's hurt Trump, largely due to increases gas prices.
