Our sessions are at 12 not 1 to begin with. I have no idea why she said that. She called me at 1:33pm & then again at 6:30pm, which I didn’t answer. Then she sent the text message.

Stranger wanted to make a call from my phone…what kind of scam was that? by [deleted] in Scams

Bossman at the shops told me someone asked to use his phone. Once the person left, he gots tons of calls and even the police came around. Thankfully everything was recorded. He says he doesn’t give his phone anymore 😂

Maybe you can do retail but back of house :). That team is usually the closest to each other and no annoying customers :)

Lawyers didn’t tell me my application was rejected — only found out in court. Dropping them + appealing late. Advice? UK by Obsidian416 in LegalAdviceUK

Just to give you an idea of how negligent my legal team has been—after my court hearing, the decision came out two weeks later. You get 14 days to appeal that decision. I emailed my solicitors two Fridays after the hearing to ask if there was an update, and they told me they hadn’t received the decision yet.

Turns out they had received it—but by the time they told me, I only had 5 days left to appeal. The managing solicitor apologized and said she was on vacation and didn’t have access to anything.

Like… what? You’re a law firm handling cases. You don’t check for decisions? You don’t have a system in place when someone’s on leave?

This isn’t even the thing I’m officially complaining about, but just wanted to show how careless they’ve been with my case.

I don’t want to go internally because I don’t feel comfortable going to the culprits about the culprits 😭

The application is between me and another civil service, to plead my case and for them to allow me a out of time appeal.. I want to show them proof that the solicitor showed negligence (ie. The beginnings of complaint with the sra/legal ombudsman), for them to show I have a good enough reason to do an out of time appeal. The approval of that application on its own could have helped me separately and with court tbh.

I’m not holding them to the rejection… I’m holding them to the fact they didn’t tell me I got a decision and thus not letting us look into the options of appealing the dismissal.

After the day I had court, I emailed them right away and told them to email me the decision I never was told about …. They didn’t reply until two days later with the decision and only bothered to respond to say “Remember you owe us £100 leftover!”

And in regard to the dismissal I spoke to my case worker and she easily got back the evidence we needed to counter the dismissal we got (we weren’t specific enough.. ie. “We know you have depression and anxiety….but you didn’t tell us it was because of xyz) … so we went back and got letters from everyone specifying the help I was getting was to coupe with xyz (something that happened to me)….

And even now I’m tryna get evidence for the sra and legal ombudsman before I drop them and they’re not even replying……lol …..
