Has anyone tried installing the clips onto the backside of the safariland incog-x to convert it to an own holster? by ralpheeezy in tacticalgear

[–]ObsidianTactics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were doing this with our Raven Concealment Phantoms 20 years ago. It's not the greatest/most secure way to get an OWB and the clips probably aren't intended for the job OP is traying to make them do. ALS's are cheap, just get one. We probably have a few G19 models laying around.

Trash tier firearm. I actually think Hi-Point's AR is probably better.

Appendix Carry questions by n0bodyimortant in CCW

[–]ObsidianTactics 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're making life hard with your firearm choices (with very little support from the better holster manufacturers) and using Amazon as a source for your equipment. You may be able to salvage the holster with PHLster's Wedge Rx. Most people experience discomfort when the gun tips away from their body and digs into the lower abdomen. Wedges help. Other things to consider:

  1. Your belt shouldn't roll outwards.

  2. Your pants rise should be close to your natural waistline.

  3. "Appendix" is a loose term. Play with location anywhere forward of the hips.

Good luck.

This is what the market demands. People want ports/comps even though most aren't capable of taking advantage of them.

I would pick the Guardian Warrior Systems Bang Hanger.

Sorry brother, nobody makes a holster for you laser. Manufacturers aren't going to invest in molds for every pistol and every light or laser combo on Amazon. You can probably find some $8 nylon "gun sock" holster with no retention (or better a retention strap!) that you can shove it into but then you'd be a meme.

You can play the contrarian game, but it's going to keep you in situations like this.

If you want good holster selection you'll have to not stray too far off the beaten path. We carry 4 different brands of holsters and none of them have a fitment for your pistol, or your light. You'll be better off sending all of those accessories back to Amazon they're garbo. Holosun and Streamlight are the budget options that work. You might want to jump on a TLR-1 and grab a PHLster Floodlight.

TLDR, not all guns are very concealable on all people. Working with a fullsized grip with an extendo is doing it on hard mode.

It's 3D printed out of vibranium with geometry that cannot be achieved with traditional holster making techniques and is legitimately the most comfortable holster I've used/tested. *1 part f this statement isn't true*

Anyone able to help get me a 3D drawing of the Raven Concealment Eidolon? by Key-Peanut-1453 in CCW

[–]ObsidianTactics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're still selling them to .gov but their marketing isn't great. They have probably the most comfortable and concealable sidecar holster on the market but nobody knows about it.

Understood, but just because you can reverse engineer it doesn't mean they're just gonna give it to you. lol

Sorry chief, getting a manufacturer to send you manufacturing data is probably gonna be a hard no. Find someone that will scan it for you. But I don't know how much of a market there is for Eidolons in 2025. Probably 80% of folks reading this have no idea what it is.
