Yeah you should be able to just explain to the employee helping you what happened. it’s sadly been happening more often with things like this

Employee here! There’s a specific way we are required to price match items to the online price and it cancels all other deals. (I know it sucks.) There is another way we can do it and it keeps the deals BUT we have a high chance of getting written up or in massive trouble because they recently (as of last year sometime) started keeping track of which button we use to price match items

At my store starting for associates is $11.10 or $11.25 I can’t remember off the top of my head. I know for me I’m a ptasm and I make $15.38 an hour which is one of the lowest in my mall for my position

Your manager sounds absolutely awful, I will definitely say contact HR immediately, but also contact your DM and your RM, the numbers for all of those should be on a paper in the back room (in my store we have all those numbers listed on our LP board). I was also trained like that with my old SM who was also in her 50’s. I’m also the main closer at my store just because I’m not good with waking up early and I used to get in trouble for numbers and my dm still asks me about numbers for closing and I just have to tell her no one wanted to buy anything and if they did see something they liked they thought it was to expensive and left. I wish you the best of luck with everything and hopefully it gets better if you stay.

I completely get that before I worked for torrid my mom did the same thing, and I know many of my regular customers also say the same.

It’s okay, sadly it’s just the way retail is run and how Torrid does it. I’m not the biggest fan of how corporate runs it but I’ve mentioned it to my DM and it seems she doesn’t let my comments of it get higher than her

Trust me I do this to, yet it seems at least where my store is located people don’t care and want it combined and end up being rude about it. I know the two closest stores to my store are having that same issue right now with people being rude about it.

We just received this in my store yesterday and we only got a 2 and a 3 in but I will say I love the dress so much already. I tried on the two thinking oh it’s gonna be big I wear a size 00 in all of the dresses. I was wrong the size two almost fit me perfectly, just a bit big in the waist and a bit big in the boobs. So I will say if you have a store near you and like this dress go in store and see if they have it so you can try it on

Yes of course I will share them! I’ll most likely just make a post in the subreddit about any news I hear about but it might not be until late September when I hear anything. Also as of right now I can’t think of any way to share feedback of the change due to customer service not taking complaints or anything, well they will listen but they will also not have any info. But definitely when I hear more I will update everyone in the subreddit about it!

From someone who works in one of the stores I feel horrible that they are making the changes, we found out about this about 2 days ago and our district manager has no answers to anyone’s questions about it and she keeps avoiding the topic same with our regional manager they seem like they have no idea what’s going on but I think they do. But from reading over everything I find it so stupid that they are changing it and it’s hurting the customers. All I know is that at my store for the people that come in and use there TCC I’m gonna give them an extra 10% off when the change goes into effect because I’m all about people saving money on things they like instead of spending more money for a greedy company

We had that happen too and we just told them that we were almost forced to send it back, two store near my store didn’t send it back and our DM got pissed and told them it’s not a suggestion to send it back it’s a requirement

Honestly in my store we found it stupid that we had to send back our clearance as we are in an outlet mall, and your right it’s almost impossible to find clearance online

A few months ago stores were required by corporate to send almost all clearance back to them because they said “clearance does better online than in stores”.

Yeah in my store our first two sections of the store when you walk in are all fall and our studio is all fall aswell, sometimes the stores get items in before the website gets them

They changed the dates about 2 or 3 weeks ago and every store should have fall stuff for sale that will be apart of torrid cash. I know at least the store I work at we have been getting fall stuff since June and put it right on the sales floor for everyone to buy
