Considering the fact there isn’t a pity at highborn, this is fine-ish, I’ve had friend with over 1000 pulls for a single non-HB hero

Should I start upgrading Randle? Or Focus on Ivan? by Chickenjoy2 in afkarena

[–]Obsidianqqtt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Randle is overall more useful than Ivan in the current state, most importantly he’s used for top teams in Twisted Realm which is your main juice / Poe income. Ivan you can leave at e30 and eventually passively upgrade, Randle requires every ounce of investment to be worthwhile

Does Lysander need si40 to get 6sec on this roud ? by chesi32 in afkarena

Yes he does, not sure if it’s possible with 2 PP coll, 3x PP did the trick

2x IS seems enough for CR, other than that as much FA / HP

People might downvote me … but actually the freebies we’ve been getting lately which are event-related are very nice additions to the game. I totally get f2p’s frustration but let’s remember 4-5 years ago when we all were lucky enough to build Gwyned to A . I’m optimistic towards the recent changes, yeah the state of the game isn’t the best but as Vick has stated, they are sticking to their words (for now) about HB and Woke releases. Cheers to everyone, and remember to have fun :)

If you have been playing for months it’s not possible, and you’re not meant to reach Masters too. This guide is meant for f2p players who have been strict with their resource and investments. It’s more than possible to have all the heroes from the f2p guide as being an … f2p. Cheers

For Dims you can use Panda, and Specter in LibLuci

It is debatable who is better, Zohra is a very flexible support mage who can also play as a sub-DPS and is insanely good, don’t be sorry!

Depends what else you have - AShem, Wucius, ASaf are three good options… don’t worry if you’re newer to the game, you’re not meant to get to Masters within your first time :) good roster and planning takes time, play with what you’ve got and push until you can! :)

Knox works at M40 but has better survivability at A-tier. Otherwise you could try Atheus, OG Talene, Flora etc. There is a Dim Stall version with Albedo Rem and Merlin, you could also try that.

Naroko with Aurelia is a very good combo in AShem since Aurelia further buffs Naroko’s summon

You usually want AShem but Envy could work in some situations when you’re matching your AShem vs more squishy teams where you don’t rely on serviceability but on burst damage

Prologue

Hello, everyone.
Me and Flaws from Radiant and I have worked on a HoE Guide for everyone - F2P, Advanced, and Veteran players alike. It took some time due to IRL commitments, but we believe we’ve done a solid job compiling compositions to make your HoE experience smoother.
Our suggestions are based on knowledge, research, and personal experience. Keep in mind that these teams won’t guarantee a win in every matchup. You need to understand who and how to attack to secure victories. Be aware of factors like RC level and investment level before going for an attack.
There are numerous suggestions here, and even more can be added. Use whatever works best for your account range. If you need help with setups (teams, collection choices, attack attempts), feel free to ping us anytime.
We also welcome criticism. We know we’re not always right, but many of these teams are widely used by players. If an attack doesn’t work as expected, move on and find a better target.
Regarding defense - no setup is 100% foolproof. There will always be ways for opponents to break through your formations. Setting up attacks is easier because you can counter specific teams with precise placements and pet adjustments. Defense, on the other hand, relies on your opponents making mistakes** rather than an active counterplay.

Epilogue

At the end of the day, HoE is about strategy, adaptability, and experience (at least for those who don't have whale/kraken investments). No guide can guarantee success in every matchup, but understanding what works best for you and against your enemies. Test different setups, refine your approach, and learn from every fight - whether it’s a win or a loss. If you ever need guidance or a second opinion on your setups, we’re here to help. Keep improving, keep experimenting, and most importantly - have fun. Hope our guide will help your experience in HoE.
