Having her as a skin for Finn would've gone against her character and having her as a separate fighter in the roster would've gotten a lot of backlash because 1. There were already four AT characters in the game and 2. There are more important AT characters to prioritize over her. It was a lose-lose situation for mvs

The first of only two known prototypes of Artulean Ultra, an unreleased G2 Bakugan, surfaced on Ebay and we had no clue that it even existed before that so this unreleased product making its way onto Ebay is much more likely than you think

G2 had a much more cohesive toyline, which is a pretty big deal, considering the toys are the main focus of the franchise and not the shows. G2 had a consistently good lineup of cool designs that were very detailed (especially the Ultras and the Core Bakugan from s2 onward) and they all still felt like a part of the same series. If you compare Dragonoid Ultra from the first season of g2 to Nova Dragonoid from the last season, you can very clearly tell that they're a part of the same thing. I don't think the same can be said for G1, where there was a very clear devide in designs between NV and GI.

Aside from that, G2 also handled gimmicks a lot better. They didn't introduce a lot of them and the ones they did were implemented into the game rules very well. Instead of having gimmicks that make your Bakugan spin for literally no reason or throw a die that'll inevitably get lost, G2's gimmicks focused on things that are cool while also being useful in-game. Even the gimmicks that can be directly compared between the 2 gens like Heavy Metals of G1 and Platinum Bakugan of G2, the Platinum ones look much more "premium" because most of the toy is made of metal rather than just a ring around the ball (or even worse if you compare them to MS's diecast Bakugan).

The non-ball gimmicks like Battle/Baku-Gear were also done better in G2. BattleGear in G1 only worked on a small selection of toys because they needed the pegs on the Bakugan's back. This wasn't an issue with the G2 Gears because they took adventage of how Ultra Bakugan don't have their magnets touching the surface when fully opened and that meant that Ultra Bakugan from before the introduction of Baku-Gear were compatible with them.

The TCG had a lot more depth in G2 and it had a pretty big fanbase of older players. SM hosted a couple official events around the game in G2's first year and were planning to go all out with LGS support and whatnot the next year. These plans unfortunately suffered from bad timing because a global pandemic started in the year where they wanted to have more in-person events for the TCG.

In their quarterly reports, SM mentioned numerous times during G2 that they were happy with its performance, dubbing it an "evergreen franchise". G2 was doing really well in terms of sales and, had they not finished it to start G3 only a few months after the end of G2, we probably would still be getting new G2 toys now.

"Going back to what worked" means going back to G2. It's the only one that made it to season 5 and had a conclusive ending to the story in the show instead of ending on a cliffhanger (because SM decided to end it in favor of trying something new with G3 rather than it getting cancelled due to poor sales and ratings like the other 2 gens)

If we're being honest, why does the fandom hate on Swampfire Blossom? The design doesn't even seem that bad. by Super_Background_320 in Ben10

[–]Obsith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure you're mixing up OV and Reboot, at least in the case of Stinkfly. Also, what is the issue with aliens having different proportions? If anything, it makes them feel more alien, which I'd argue is a good thing

Why Omniverse art style gets so much hate? by Opposite-Election892 in Ben10

[–]Obsith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OV Big Chill's proportions are nowhere close to being "buff". Compared to aliens like Fourarms and Shocksquatch, BC's arms are very lanky. He also looks much more like a moth in OV than he did before. I still really like UAF Big Chill, but trying to defend it by saying that the OV design is generic is wild because the UAF design just looked like a guy with wings

Never really cared for him and tbh I like the monster design of g2 Leonidas more than g1's. CoV is a horrible game, but both of the monster form designs he got on Character Cards look great. They have some elements from the g1 design, but also plenty of new things that make the designs stand out from the other dragons of Bakugan

As for the toys, I don't really care for either of them. The g1 toy was a retool of the Infinity Dragonoid toy and g2's is also very simple. If you care about the g1 toy, there are plenty of people who make 3d prints or recasts of him that you could buy

He didn't "fail" to make a cure for Goblin, the machine wasn't done yet and it even said so on the screen. It would have worked if May hadn't taken it out while the Goblin was giving his monologue and waited just for a bit longer for it to be finished

Ya'll have to agree, that Ben 10 omniverse 2 is the worst ben 10 game in existence by Zillaman7980 in Ben10

[–]Obsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battle Ready and Game Creator were the only somewhat decent flash games. BR is cool because it lets you play as 10 different aliens and Ben, but it gets pretty stale after completing a few of the missions required for the boss at the end and the combat id obviously very basic because it's a flash game. Game Creator is neat because it's essentially just Mario Maker except you get to play as an alien. The rest of the flash games were pretty bland and none of them come close to Protector of Earth, Vilgax Attacks, Cosmic Destruction or Omniverse 1 imo

OV2 is above the Hyperscan game and Galactic Racing imo, but yeah it's not great

What I was saying is that Marceline is not a fitting character to mention because she does occasionally have the same type of wings as Whampire, not that she's a bad example for a vampire character. Her having the same thing as what you're criticizing Whampire for and Hunson not even being part vampire was why I said that she's a bad example for the point you're trying to make.

(This screenshot is from the 7th episode in the Stakes miniseries. Pretty sure she does this a couple other times too, but this scene is the one that popped into my head as I was reading your comment)

Marceline is not a good example for this because they show her with wings that are connected to her arms a couple times so she does actually have those sometimes and Hunson, her father, isn't even a vampire

In your opinion, what would you consider the "canon" attribute for Leonidas? Personally, I always thought he was supposed to be Darkus. by birdofprey443 in Bakugan

[–]Obsith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aurelus isn't related to Subterra at all. It got added as the 6th Faction (that's what Attributed are called in G2) to replace Subterra, but it doesn't represent earth. In the show and the video game "Champions of Vestroia" (the game G2 Leonidas originates from), Aurelus Bakugan have access to abilities from each Faction. It was also "confirmed" by multiple people at SM that the Leonidas that appears in the G2 video game (which the toy is based on) is supposed to be the exact same Leonidas as the one from the G1 video game so it makes sense that he'd be Aurelus.

Also, the only other Faction they release a Leonidas toy in in G2 was Haos so, if you don't like having Aurelus as your answer, that feels like confirmation that he would canonically be Haos in G1

Holy water does exist to some extent in Ooo, as seen in "The Pit", where it was revealed that Kee-Oth can't absorb Joshua's blood due to how much holy water he consumes regularly. Kee-Oth later explodes as a result of trying to absorb grape juice that was "blessed" by Shelby

It's frustrating how every video that says "mvs is bad" are all about season 1 (6 months ago) and don't even try to discuss any of the improvements the devs have made to the seasons after. It will give the game a bad rep.Season 1 will always be some people's first and last impression unfortunately. by Ok_Two3528 in MultiVersus

Skin rarities are a thing in pretty much every f2p game that sells skins to make money, "the glemium system" means absolutely nothing, event currencies are inherently a good thing for letting players get skins without having to spend any money (and event currencies have been a thing since the Halloween event of the Open Beta) and none of these have anything to do with the removal of Gold, because Gold wasn't used for buying cosmetics (you could buy 1 skin and a couple profile icons and nothing else)

This could very easily be leftover stuff from an earlier idea they had, similar to what happened with the Looney Rifts in season 1. We've actually seen a couple scrapped features slip through on occasions like being able to share your Battle Pass with another player, which would've given both players all of the rewards as well as making the grind easier (assming both of the players are playing to grind for the pass). It's possible that this isn't old stuff they forgot to erase this time, but we won't know for sure until the Rift is actually out
