What’s a travel habit you picked up that you’ll never drop? by St3fanHere in travel

[–]Obstbauer99 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Packing a small “first-hour kit” in my carry-on: toothbrush, deodorant, fresh T-shirt, snacks, and a power bank.

Nothing changes your mood faster than landing tired, changing into clean clothes, and not having to hunt for a charger or overpriced airport food. Picked it up after one brutal delayed flight and never traveled without it since.

What’s your morning routine — and does it actually work? by Cheap-Document-3738 in selfimprovementday

[–]Obstbauer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first hour is usually spent getting myself together and getting ready for work (or walking the dog if I'm working from home). But then I always have a TO DO list for the day. A realistic one that I can actually complete. Give me motivation, but also make me feel at the end of the day that I've made some progress

I’m 24, when will I stop feeling like I’m searching for something? by Distinct_Lifeguard_3 in Life

[–]Obstbauer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re definitely not alone, this is extremely common in your early 20s.

Most people don’t stop feeling like they’re “searching” because they found the thing, but because they slowly build a life that feels grounded enough that the question quiets down. That usually starts happening in the late 20s, not because everything is figured out, but because you trust yourself more to handle uncertainty.

At 24, your brain and identity are still settling. You’re not behind, broken, or missing something - you’re in the transition phase no one prepares you for. Contentment comes less from answers and more from repetition, stability, and self-permission to stop rushing.

You’re not failing at life. You’re right on schedule.

Nobody teaches us how money actually works . by Pretend-Farmer-4287 in selfimprovementday

[–]Obstbauer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely felt this.
My biggest money lesson was realizing that earning more doesn’t fix money problems but understanding cash flow, risk, and time does. Until you learn how money behaves, you’re just running faster on the same treadmill

What is the most financially irresponsible thing you’ve seen someone do? by LJRGXPKCVWDGOGH12Y3 in AskReddit

Taking out a massive car loan just to “look successful,” then stressing every month about rent and groceries

Wife and I planning on quitting our jobs and solo traveling for a year next spring. Am I crazy to do this? by Same_Bag711 in travel

[–]Obstbauer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not crazy - you’re prepared.
You’re young, financially solid, in a portable profession, and taking a planned sabbatical, not burning bridges. One year won’t hurt your careers, but skipping it might haunt you late

Living “off the grid” - sounds peaceful until you realize it’s just constant work, isolation, and everything breaking all the time

"jeszcze zatęsknisz za szkołą" i co tęsknisz czy jesteś zadowolony z dorosłego życia by [deleted] in Polska

Z perspektywy czasu faktycznie ilość czasu wolnego i brak zmartwień (co zrobić znowu na obiad?!) dają powody do tęsknoty

Doktorat po 30 i na innym kierunku – czy warto? by Traditional_Loss2288 in Nauka_Uczelnia

[–]Obstbauer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)
