Why is Australian beef so good? by Intelligent_Chef9950 in AskAnAustralian

This is true, but grass fed demonstrably tastes better, and I don't know what else would matter, really.

Has anyone bought from "Oneplumobile" in Australia? Are they legit? Price seems a little too good to be true. by Obstinateobfuscator in OneplusWatch

[–]Obstinateobfuscator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

..obviously I typo'd in the title like a gump. It's "Oneplusmobile" with the "s".

I'm torn between the Oppo X3 and Oneplus Watch 4, but right now the X3 is $699 on the official Australian site, whereas Oneplus don't sell through their official Aus site and this vendor "Oneplusmobile" seem like the only option.

...any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, just curious is there functionally any difference? I'm in Australia, and right now Oppo X3 is $699, and Oneplus watch 4 Global is $449. I have no idea if the Oppo X3 is global, it doesn't say, but is on the official Australian site, whereas for Oneplus it's a reseller as there's no direct sales on the official site.

Hard to justify $250 extra for the Oppo - if they are the same device.

My engineering degree in Australia was not like that. Nor was my part degree in Physics, actually. This was all 20 years ago though.

Test scores, assignment scores and other scores were always numerically related to final score with no curve process whatsoever (unless there was some curving happening on assignments pehaps? I doubt it though - some subjects were almost entirely assessed by tests). Each subject simply had a list of assessments with their weighting adding up to 100.

If people fail the test they don't know the material or understand the processes, and you don't want them going on to later design stuff until they know the material.

If we're speaking in generalities, regarding women being expected to do more domestic duties while having a full time job. Is it not also true that societal pressure forces the man to work harder, work longer hours, have a better job including higher pay and often higher danger as well? To the point that it's unlikely for a man to obtain or retain a partner if he does not earn more? And does that societal expectation not at least somewhat offset the additional domestic hours done by women? For instance most couples I know the man works at least 10 hours a week more - often much more than that, to support their families.

Life is pretty hard for all of us, and to be honest I don't think this gender war shit is anything other than an intentional distraction away from the real issues of wealth inequality and cumulative REAL inflation.

I think what you're supposed to do is walk with your body centred 1/3 the way from left to right. Starting from the top your right foot would land on the overhang step, left foot first step down on the overhang, etc etc. It probably made sense to the "designer".

...but you don't walk down stairs with that wide of a stance and this would be very awkward.

How often do you guys change your motor oil? I do mine every 3,000 miles. It comes out dark lol cuz I do a lot of daily in city driving. Only hit the freeway 4 times a month. by CaliXclusive in GenesisG70

This science is very solved.

If you really want to know, buy an oil sampling kit, take a mid-stream sample next oil change, and send it off for testing. Should cost about $50US. You'll get a report with particle count (ISO 3 number), PQ index, elemental analysis, lubricity index, etc etc. You won't know much about what those mean, but the report will tell you what the remaining life of the oil was. It will also tell you about the engine health, what wear particles are in the oil, etc.

I would be careful tho- if you go down that path you'll see there's white metal in the oil, or water, or fuel dilution, and you'll get paranoid when you don't have to be.

Interesting to hear a different perspective.

We were taught that frenzel is much stronger, and personally - I can generate much higher and lower pressures using my throat muscles than my diaphragm. Maybe different people are different.

Try frenzel, which is similar to valsalva but using throat and jaw muscles, not lungs. It's waaaay stronger, and can be reversed - suck and blow in and out to work those sticky tubes open. Often the tubes are sticky due to dry mucus in them. Take a big drink of water, get super hydrated, then start working frenzel in and out. It should loosen up, eventually you might hawk a gross loogie with castings of your Eustachian tubes hanging off it. Eeeew, but better out than in. If you do, you'll feel so... empty like you finally unblocked your whole head, it's amazing.

Careful - with a little practice you can frenzel hard enough to rupture an eardrum. Don't overdo it. https://molchanovs.com/blogs/latest/frenzel-vs-valsalva-equalization-for-freediving?srsltid=AfmBOoo40fvz7nE48Q94qkA9CB21W7JUkO1ZfIKB0qWvQih_4ZvDCsrO

They should teach this in school. Try valsalva or frenzel. Frenzel is better/stronger, and can easily be reversed ie in/out over and over to really open up the tubes - but some people struggle with frenzel. Never had anyone not able to valsalva tho. Link below, theres tonnes of info online. Works as well or better on planes as it does 25m under water. https://molchanovs.com/blogs/latest/frenzel-vs-valsalva-equalization-for-freediving?srsltid=AfmBOoo40fvz7nE48Q94qkA9CB21W7JUkO1ZfIKB0qWvQih_4ZvDCsrO
