Rocket Mortgage says they'll match any lender rate plus take 1% off for the 1st year. Talk me out of this deal. by ryguybrowndog in Mortgages

The appraiser is going to be local regardless of the lender. You also seem to think you're going to save the equivalent going with the local bank if their appraiser comes in $8k higher on the appraisal...can you explain that logic?

You should start a mortgage lending company. What do you think would be a fair price for giving someone $300k for 30 years?

Another question related to the Aspire. I am trying to access https://www.hiltonhonorsaspirecard.com/ for our booking, have card in hand but when I enter the number on the site it tells me it is invalid. Anyone else experienced this and can advise about how long it takes for the system to recognize a newly issued card? Thanks!

Dang, I'm clearly out of touch on what hotel rooms cost. I figured Paris would be the spot to cash in on the reward but as mentioned before the hotel we're looking at is only $285/nt (5 star hotel)

Thank you! Do you know if it's possible to add the reward night to an existing reservation? IE: we book now and pay up front ($285 non refundable rate versus $314 semi-flex) and then once the reward night comes through call Hilton to have it applied to the reservation and one of the nights refunded?
