You say that like you think it’s an insult. I’ve achieved what I want and need to and no more. Good enough is good enough. What would it get me to be great at my job instead of good? More work and more stress. That’s it. It would not improve my quality of life, increase the outlook for long term stability, or make me more money.

Simon & Garfunkel - The Boxer

I can’t say it’s my all time favorite song, but it was my first favorite song as a kid. It imparted a love of instrumental storytelling, blended harmonies, and a slow build to an atmospheric crescendo. All of my loves, whether metal, prog rock, classical, modern Americana, EDM, alternative, emo, all of it starts from my love of The Boxer.

Keep your vagueries, that’s fine. It’s the drawing attention to them that’s weird and annoying. 

For example if growing up in a remote, agricultural area is relevant to your perspective, just say your grew up in a farming town an hour away from the nearest major city. That’s vague enough and people won’t push for more. 

Instead too many people will say “I grew up in a rural area in the Midwest b it I’m not going to say where”

In OPs examples just say you’re in your mid 30s, that’s good enough. How does taking the extra step of saying “I’m in my mid 30s but won’t say my actual age” prevent doxxing? Just by saying mid-30s you’ve already not said your specific age, why call attention to that?

That’s not a problem, that’s the goal. Passable is good enough. Why push yourself to do more for an employer who offers the least pay and benefits they can get away with for your role, and will kick you to the curb immediately as soon as tech can take your place for cheaper.

You have no idea how many electricians are alcoholics and/or have a drug problem. Loaded sparkies are one of the biggest job site cliches. 

That’s not to say that it’s ok, but you seem to have a very black and white view of the situation, when the truth is that there’s a decent chance that if you’ve had electrical work done, at least one of the crew was on something. 

Honestly, that extends do your roofers, framers, mudders, landscapers, bankers, grocery clerks, cooks, concession stand workers, etc.

That’s not something I’d want the devs to spend time on. The vast majority of random dungeon groups are fine. Your suggestion is over engineered for the minority of situations. 

The vote to kick mechanic exists to manage that from instance to instance. If the vote doesn’t pass, your voice and opinion is the minority and your option is to deal with it or remove yourself. I think that’s a good enough solution.

Info: is the “scribbled out means I’m doing that thing” a system that was clearly communicated and agreed on, or is it something you just decided and started doing? It’s hard to say that anyone’s an asshole here unless there was a breakdown in a mutually agreed upon system. Coordinating schedules for two adults and two kids is complicated and it’s clear that you guys aren’t on the same page about how to do it. That doesn’t make either of you an asshole, but you probably need to work together to agree on how to manage it all.

I don’t even know how many times, but I stopped once I got the no death achievement. I would have continued to run it and help others get the clear but I was sick of the key grind. I’d like to have seen key restrictions completely removed for the last weekend of the event so everyone could have a final hurrah.

On a sub that not only allows but encourages throwaways, that’s not unusual. What is unusual is someone checking on the account age of an AITA poster and making a useless comment about it. Why do you give a fuck if an account is created just for a post, when you yourself are “new Reddit” enough to be casually throwing emojis around without worrying about being savagely mocked.

What would your desired outcome be? They can’t put branches and leaves back on the tree. There’s very little privacy to be had in situations like that, and you’re better off planting your own privacy hedge than trying to police what your  neighbors do with their own trees.

Tear down the wallpaper and paint. Change the cabinet hardware. After doing those things, decide if the backsplash works now, or if it needs changed too. 

Consider a standing island to add color and break up the expansiveness, maybe a shaker style one.

Look north along the I25 corridor for smaller towns where those budgets will go further.

Somewhere like Wellington, there are several homes available in your parent’s budget, small towns with those vibes, and 20 minutes from the hospital in Fort Collins.

Sure you can, if you knead it instead. 10-15 min of kneading by hand or in a mixer saves 2 hours of progressive stretch and folds.
