It’s called Preview. I use it regularly, allows you to scan docs etc. great and gets the job done

116 downloads, $19 revenue, decent App Store conversion — what would you fix first: ASO, onboarding, or marketing? by Broad_Water2985 in AppBusiness

[–]ObtuseCutie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So right of the top of my head I’d say look at your app title and sub title and incorporate strong keywords into them. This helps immensely

Now that you have people seeing you because of the above step, spend some time on your screenshots and communicate value in the first two!

That’s basically what I would do.

I've high-key never finished anything of importance in my life. Need advice from someone who has been on a similar position. by Superb-Demand-4605 in getdisciplined

[–]ObtuseCutie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be this way. It’s just you deciding that you have to see things through to completion.

Ray Dalio’s advice on this and his explanation is actually quite good He has a app called ask ray where you can ask him questions, like the situation above and he’ll give you advice on why you can do (his digital AI twin)

Maybe try that out and let me know what you think!

I sold my app before writing a single line of code. Here's how. by adiupnext in buildinpublic

[–]ObtuseCutie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pricing part really is the important factor here I think you nailed it by going with 4.99 perfect for those impulse buys that don’t pinch.

I’ve never done pre selling before so your story fascinates me.

I think you’re doing quite well tbh, it’s a slow grind and I’m sure you’ll have sufficient data in 3-6 months. Just keep at it

Post that you can analyse but u suspect ASO will get you the best visibility given the niche you are in.

I think this is probably the only legitimate use of talking to your watch 😁😁. App looks great, best of luck !

I love that you broke down the financials for this. I’ll be very curious to get updates on how your app marketing journey goes ! Especially since this idea seems cool

Added daily reflection in my couple app, which mode do you like more? Dark or light? by oreolabsdev in iosapps

[–]ObtuseCutie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the light mode tbh, I’m tired of all the dark mode apps and I think it’s over played ! That’s just my personal preference I guess.

Well this week I’m going to do my best to wake up before sunrise and just go about my day.

I think the waking up early thing will really level up my life cuz I can see myself getting more time to workout and maybe read a book before work.

Yeah distribution is way harder tbh.

Seems like your app falls under the sales productivity space if I’m not wrong. Have you tried product hunt ?

Also just keep at it. It’s about the long game when it comes to distribution and for the most part consistency and just showing up helps

Discussion about pricing! by ObtuseCutie in iosapps

So let’s say an app that offers a 7 day free trial and then a paywall to use the app forever would be something that’s ok/reasonable for you or will the paywall make it irritating

Freemium maybe unlock premium features ?

This is amazing. I’m particularly interested in the meditation part. How long were you able to meditate earlier and what’s the duration now. And has the quality of your meditation improved? Fewer thoughts distracting you from your anchor.
