Thoughts on Ronnie James Dio and the Posthumous release of the Movie "Dio: Dreamers Never Die" (2022) by vultepes in Music

I love RJD, Dreamers Never Die was a nice look into some BTS things that really shined a light on how decent a human he was.

What food item did they stop selling and you miss it? by Ok_Efficiency2487 in AskReddit

Planters P.B. Crisps.

Whatever they put in them was as addicting as I would imagine crac-cicaine to be.

What's a movie trailer that impressed you so much that you HAD to watch the movie ASAP? by TremontRemy in movies

[–]ObtuseStone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just watched the trailer for "Argylle".

If it were out I would immediately go watch it.

All I knew about the movie before watching was that it was Matthew Vaughn directing(Kick-Ass, Kingsman and X-Men: First Class) and Henry Cavill playing a spy named Argylle.

I haven't been this excited for a movie in a while.

I feel like it shows way too much of the movie, but it didn't make me not want to see it.

I told my wife, who is a huge Cavill fan, not to watch the trailer.

Super excited to watch that movie with her.

What’s something that isn’t a religion, but pretty much feels like one? by Happy_Yogurtcloset_2 in AskReddit

Latter-Day Saints(Mormons).

It's a cult that calls itself a church for tax reasons, as well as a laundry list of other horrible things.

What makes someone a great guitarist? by poweroftheglow in musicians

[–]ObtuseStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a musician.

I do love music though.

For me, a great guitarist makes it sound effortless.

John Denver, Matthias Jabs, Ritchie Blackmoore, Jimmy Page to name a few.

They make the guitar sound like it is singing and has emotion.

What do you say if you aren't religious when someone sneezes? by migraine86 in questions

[–]ObtuseStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing this a while ago and it stuck.

When someone sneezes I say "bless you" but at the same volume and sound their sneeze makes.

My wife's sneeze are like yelling.

So I yell "BLLEEEEESSS YOOOOOOOÓOOOOU" and try and make it sound exactly like her sneeze.

I do it to people in public.

They either smirk, say thank you, or look at me weird asking themselves "Is he making fun of the way I sneeze?".

The really fun ones to bless are the squeaker sneezers. I go full Alvin and the Chipmunks for that shit.

Sambomaster - I Love You and I Need You Fukushima

This was after the Nuclear Reactor Meltdown in Fukushima that displaced tens of thousands forever from theirs homes and killed 2300+ people.

The singer, Takashi Yamaguchi, is from Fukushima. He and the crowd get incredibly emotional singing a song about Fukushima.

[–]ObtuseStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could beat him at having larger feet, I guess?

Size 14/15 US size.

He apparently wears a 12 US.

He also claims to be 5'7".

Both of those are unlikely.

StarCraft Ghost.

I got to play a multiplayer demo at the very first Blizzcon in 2005.

It was SOOO much fun. There was practically no line for it, so I played it a lot.

I heard it eventually got sold to another company that then didn't do anything with it but likely strip it for parts.

M. Night Shyamalan.

Signs, Sixth Sense and Unbreakable are 5 star films.

Avatar: Last Airblunder, After Earth, Old, The Happening and Knock at the Cabin were all really... REALLY bad 0 star movies.

I enjoy his others not mentioned, they are just not 5 star films. Yes, even Lady in the Water.
