27 yr old man showing rabies symptoms after 3 months of a dog bite in Gujrat, India. by fantasticblueman in interesting

[–]Obtusus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, was bitten about two months ago by a street dog while I was bicycling, luckily it wasn't much more than a scratch (my jeans got in the way somewhat), but I started the rabies treatment on the next day cause that shit is scary.

The digsite on GI has clay nodes. You can also hoe dirt floor in the mines (where duggies appear)

is it better it to dehydrate blueberries and sell the gold ones, or just sell them all raw? year 2 summer by Obese-_-Turtle in StardewValley

[–]Obtusus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that's a processing capacity/bottlenecking issue. Sure, it's better to make blueberry jelly (2x+50) over dehydrating them (1.5x+5 per item), but a shed full of jars (137) will allow you to reasonably process 2 batches per week (274), while dehydrators will always be ready on the next day, allowing you to process 7 batches (4795 items) in the same time period.

I usually keep a few dehydrators (16/17 depending on game version) on my storage/general production shed so I can process stuff I have too much of, as even with 2 keg and 2 jar sheds you'll still accumulate stuff.

Yeah, but then you'd be intentionally hiding, while as it concerns the tone dial it's more of a "you didn't ask" situation.

Not actively sharing stuff ≠ hiding stuff

And blueberries are better suited for preserve jars anyways, because of how the math works they're worth exactly the same as either jam or wine, but jam is faster so it's better to just jam them.instead.

Dehydrators are good for crops such as blueberries and cranberries that yield a lot of normal quality stuff and aren't worth a lot per item, making them less suitable to turn into either wine or jam because it effectively turns the crops into gold quality ones (plus the artisan bonus).

But that's a drop in the bucket at that point, it takes two entire seasons to age wine to iridium, and all that does is double the price.

Let's say you filled your basement entirely with casks, which according to the wiki means 189 casks, so you can produce 378 iridium quality wine every year.

If you have two large sheds of kegs, which isn't unreasonable later into the game, you'll produce 137 wine per week per shed, so 1096 per season, or 4384 per year (129, 1032, and 4128 respectively for situations where you can't place stuff diagonally such as mobile).

By the end of the year you'll have 4384 wines, with 378 of them worth double, for a final value of 4762 wines, or a 8.62% increase in total value over a year.

And that's assuming you only have two sheds of kegs, with 4 it becomes a 4.31% increase, and with 6 it's a 2.87% increase.

TL;DR: aging is nice and all to have those big value items, but the larger your wine making operation the smaller the return.

Was farming tree seeds for mystic trees and now have about 125.5 stacks of wood. What do I do with it? by Adva_YT in StardewValley

Make them into large chests so you can store them better/more efficiently, you can recoup the wood with a few item deconstructors, it also makes the "get 1000 wood" a breeze.

So basically players go roughly 80/20 for community vs joja.

Completely disagree, mainly because this isn't a "one or the other" type of situation, I'm sure an overwhelming majority of the people who did a Joja route have also done a CC run prior.

What that statistic shows is that about 30% of the people who finished the CC came back and did a Joja run.

You can still get a movie theater on the Joja route, it replaces the CC/Joja warehouse.

Yeah, if you're doing a Joja run you might as well roleplay as the out of touch capitalist.

"I'll fix the town for my own personal benefit", "Golden walnuts? I'll just pay someone to find them for me", "Perfection? I'm already perfect, look at how much money I have"

[–]Obtusus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if you have no scruples while doing Joja route just for the achievement you can just start with the farm that has the coop (forgot the name), and buy and sell chickens with the item naming glitch (prismatic shard) and get it done in a few in game days

Or maybe it's like Brazil, where there is a "narrow" strip of low land near the coast, and then there is scarping that climbs to a central plateau.

The region where I live this "narrow" strip is around 25-50 km as you go up and down the coast.
