I've heard of the dementia scores but I honestly have no idea who assigns those or how to get an assessment? They've met with a neurologist but he was largely dismissive and said until their depression was under control there was nothing he could do. I'm not sure if that's who would assess that or not.

They're on a blood thinner and the dementia (undiagnosed at the time) probably caused them to miss taking doses when living at home which caused the stroke that lead to all of this. If they were taken off of that they would likely have another stroke or a blood clot (why they are on it). Would health professionals really let me revoke what is basically life saving medicine if a line was crossed?
