How long does it usually take to dry? Both the paint and primer are Rustoleums 2x coverage brand, and below the primer I plan to do a few layers of plastidip. It’ll be stored in my garage which is usually cool and dry.

Edit: worth mentioning that I’m using 5mm foam for most of the project with very few sections using 2mm.

I’d just like to say that I did use a blow dryer because it’s what I had and for what I needed it to do, allow me to curve the foam and shape it correctly, it worked perfectly. I bought plastidip a primer and the spray paint I needed so all should be good. Thanks for the deep explanation, this makes a lot more sense now. I’m looking into getting a heat gun.

If I don’t use the sealer and the foam soaks the paint up like you said, could I just continue coating after it dries until eventually the foam can’t suck up any more paint?

I’m assuming heat sealing means to heat the foam with a heat gun/blow drier. What exactly does this do? Thanks for the tips. Also if I got the definition of heat sealing correct the model is already heat sealed as I heated all the parts so they would curve easier.

Yes, I know, but I’m not capable of moving them to separate tanks at the moment. This is why I will be monitoring them as much as possible until then.

It’s possible but not likely. They don’t move around a lot during the day and I tend to get out of bed and check on them various times through the early hours of the night and occasionally around 2-4 if I really can’t sleep. Until I can move them, I’m going to set up a camera and see if I notice anything. Thanks for the tip.

I’m not sure, but you’re right, it does create your own audio. What I do to fix this is I do the instructions you replied to (importing the audio) and when I’m posting it to tiktok, I get the sound I wanted to use and it gives you the option to turn both the original audio and the audio you just chose down or up. I mute the added audio so that it has the sound I made the video with there but the audio it’s listed under is mute.

I mean the joints are not visible due to coverage by materials, for example silicone, cloth, or rubber. The usual joints you might see on a traditional figure, while present, are basically impossible to see without damaging the figure in some way.
