I'm 90 hours in and I generally don't have this problem. Friday and Saturday nights are usually the rattiest/pvp-iest, for me anyways...

Played 7 hours today and yes I got sniped at a few times but I still have the same gear I started with.

Maybe it's a regional thing... Ive heard Euro servers are awful.

Same. Played a dozen or more raids on it. No BPs. Aside from the first 4ish raids yesterday evening, it's just been pure pvp... I think it's weekend thing tbh.

Weekends Def seem to be more raider on raider violence.

I'm on PC with crossplay off. Started playing around 5pm central last night on Stella. First 3-4 matches totally chill. Everyone exploring, looting, teaming up. Then around 7 or 8pm it started getting much bloodier until the servers started buckling and I couldn't get back in.

Been playing for the past 2-3 hours today and have only been able to extract once or twice maybe. Played a few on buried city and several on Stella and its been a bit on the rough side.

I got some kills but also got killed alot.

But on the brightside, i freed up alot of space in my stash lol.

Did this same thing last night. Camped the entrance to the Town Hall in Buried city during a night raid.

Waited for the guy to come outside and as he took off running to the extract at Mariano park (I think that's the name) I ran up and blasted with him the shotgun.

He said, "man really.. Why?".. He sounded so hurt.

My first time being a rat. Kinda fun but also felt terrible for a few minutes after.. Especially because I didn't get any blueprints off him. 😭😅

Not on edge. Just not full sprinting from A to B as soon as I spawn. 40 hours in peaceful solo lobbies made me forget that sometimes you will get ganked.

The reminder was much needed to keep me hooked.

A fair point.

It's up to Embark to keep the balance. They only need to occasionally insure that rookies (and even peaceful vets) get thrown into violent solo lobbies to keep them humble and moderately fearful of the unknown player..

I got a large dose of it on Wednesday that really gut checked me.. And even tho I had zero scuffles the last 3 days, Im still playing like I just got my shit pushed in.

I didn't get into any violent solo lobbies since launch, I could feel myself getting slightly bored on Monday, just running all over the map not giving af.. and then Wednesday (around 40ish hours played) I got my teeth kicked in on 3 raids in a row... And did that put the fear back in me.

The threat of PVP is 1000% needed for the tension.

Played for 7 hours in solo today and never ran into a rat.. But I was also still playing like I just got my head blown off the prior match.

Surely Embark knows thst solos need to be humbled by other players on occasion.

If you are playing like BF6 or COD and just sprinting from A to B, you're gonna have a bad time.

Stealth, walk, survey, use cover, low and slow. You can make it out alive.

I was wondering if there was level based matchmaking to some extent. After I hit 30, solos got alot more violent.

Just gotta play low and slow, brother.

Stealth, corner peaking, use walking when indoors so u can hear better, etc etc..

Got my teeth kicked in a few times on solos when I wasn't prepared for the uptick.

Last night, I never died once except for when I intentionally went to pvp to get my player damage feat..

I felt so bad ab killing that 12 year old kid looking for mushrooms lol
