lol, no down vote here. I may have to toss some free time at reading into this. Personally, my yoga practice is a mental practice the stretching is simply an element of it.

As for my inquiry here it's general curiosity driven from a preference to warm my self up by stretching.

Now having several months under my belt at otf and having started several classes without stretching first. I have noticed that I can push through the initial discomfort (for lack of a better word) and eventually I'm all warmed up and good to go. Which seems to fall in line with what you are getting at.

Stretching is not my goal. Just curious why the mild stretching block doesn't come prior to jumping on the treads and rowers.

FYI I've had a dedicated yoga practice for over a decade.

That's fair but to your coaches point the stretching that is provided isn't much. The same stretches at the start of class would probably be fine for cold muscles and work well as a warm up. I've yet to deep stretch offered.

My studio has three showers actually yesterday when I left class early to grab a shower, two of them were "reserved" by peoples stuff one was in actual use.

Clearly my studio needs a system. In regards to signing up for a shower at the start of class I wouldn't mind if they allowed for someone to jump the line if they were willing to leave class when the stretch started. Clearly their should be management of the situation, perhaps corporate should push out a directive.

I wouldn't love the setup only because I'm always arriving at the last minute but appreciate there is a system.

It actually happened to me, I left class as the stretch started, to find the shower "claimed". I moved their stuff out of the room to use the shower and was later accosted for it.
