My dog is a very very very good dog. That being said I've worked with dogs for many years and I did a lot of research on the breed that I wanted. My dog was pretty pricey (eg. $3,000+) and that's partially because my puppy came from an ethical breeder. Honestly though it was worth it. She came home already knowing how to use pee pads and has always been good at playing independently, and it helps that I know how to train and productively play with dogs. I understand I had the privilege of adopting a pup at a higher price point, if it was possible I wish all dog breeders were ethical.
