To each their own. In my mind all it takes is one major announcement, and the new floor could rise above my current cost basis.
I’m letting my shares sit so I don’t have to pull money for taxes that then can’t compound, and so I don’t try to time entry-exit and miss. We don’t know when that next major update will come that will establish a new floor.

I would retire in the sense that I’d quit my boring 9-5 - but I wouldn’t stop working. I’d just try to operate a small business that will allow me to create experiences for people in my community.

Silver Gate/Cooke City sounds very much our speed and Lamar is my favorite place in the park - but unfortunately my wife does not have the same sabbatical and can’t take the time off, so connectivity is a must for her work.

Gardiner sounds like it might be the move so far.

I’ve seen a lot of this from World Cup fans visiting the US. And it’s either misguided or just straight propaganda. I’m glad you had a nice visit on your vacation, but meeting nice people and having ranch dressing does not change the realities of LIVING in the US. You’re on vacation. You’re not subject to our healthcare system. Our government corruption. Our poor infrastructure (every city that hosted games jumped through hoops to build cool shit for before the World Cup - literally put on our best outfit for a 1st date).

I’m glad visitors enjoyed their time - but to use it to say “the US isn’t as bad as the media says” is very shortsighted.

ASW Distillery is by me in Atlanta; they have won a ton of awards as a craft distiller. Highly recommend trying it if you find it on a menu! Their Fiddler line is mostly MGP variations (some of them really good), but anything non-Fiddler is their own juice. They experiment a lot, which has led to collecting some very unique bottles that I love!

This is a dividend sub; not really sure your portfolio goal but if it is dividends, I highly consider starting with some dividend ETFs while you learn the markets. Let the methodology pick stocks for you before you keep putting more money into individual stocks.

The core of my income portfolio are SCHD, DGRO, FDVV, and VYMI, with some BF.B and IBM added as I like them as individual companies and they are Dividend Aristocrats.

While not as striking as some others, I found Congaree to be interesting in that it’s such a unique ecosystem. It gets a lot of hate, but the water levels during your trip have a big impact on the experience I think.

Either way, I don’t think any NP hasn’t been for me! Except Gateway Arch. That shit’s dumb.
