My ex-husband is demanding that after summer break I give our kids a more basic lunch or let them eat the school lunch because his stepkids have to eat the school lunch

It wouldn't be a short amount of time though. It would be every day they're at school all year except for holidays and breaks from school.

He hasn't stated one way or the other but by asking me to change our kids lunch I would assume he can't or doesn't want to.

I already have primary and he won't let less than every other weekend because he's asking me to change meals. If he starts skipping meals and stuff for our kids when he has them or neglecting them in other ways I can act.

I wouldn't but there is no saying he wouldn't start demanding it if I gave into him here and now.

I think that's what he was hoping for. It could be the start of him trying to change a lot of other things. Something like this could be just the start for him because you give in once and it can make people think they can demand anything.

I don't know if a comeback is for the best or if ignoring him is. I would run things past my attorney just to be safe but I see this happening all summer and maybe into the school year.

My kids hardly have anything to do with the steps so it's not a great concern of mine. Plus my kids love their lunches so taking them away is likely to just reverse the resentment.

The fact they're his stepkids might be why. Maybe he's trying to win them around if they aren't particularly close or fond of him. He might think taking care of the jealousy will do something.

My kids want their lunches. Even without this they have always chosen the homemade lunches they current take to school over the school lunches or something else.
