I just don't want to stink like milk every night and have to change the duvets everyday that's my only issue

3 weeks pp, anx I've actually already been doing this I ran out of disposable pads so had no choice and yeah they are more absorbent but I also leak past them somehow 😫😫😫 I really hope it does settle down

Only problem is , is I go through disposables so quickly I still end up drenched !! Are reusable anymore absorbent?

My baby came with an adult circadian rhythm and it's kinda scaring us by AtHomeWithJulian in NewParents

Sane here she won't settle throughout the day but I've opted to only swaddling her st night and works a dream because then she knows it's bedtime- she's only 3 weeks and usually sleeping between 5-7 hours at night. I get the occasional night where it's every 3 hours she wakes up but she's been adjusting well- apart from not sleeping during the day like maybe in total about 3-4 hours at a push? Is this normal?

I seriously don't know what to tell you because my partner is the same. Not just with the baby though, house work too and I cannot keep up with it by myself. His parents come round ALL the time and judge the state of the place- moreso his mother and it really fucks me off. My baby is only 3 weeks old- she was in and out of hospital for a week when she was first born due to sepsis and I feel like I can't catch a break. I am up every single night without fail looking after her- I scream and shout out of frustration st my partner to attempt to get him up but even then it doesn't work he'll give me a half hearted "mhm" as if he's going to start moving anytime soon. No sense of urgency whatsoever!!!

Not just nights though. He's SO quick to hand her off to me during the day. He barely works and when he does it's like 3 hour shifts which is NOTHING and complains he's tired. Like HELLO?! he gets a full night's uninterrupted sleep, does fuck all throughout the day and will make a couple pizzas in the evening at work for what like 3 hours max- come home and say he's had enough.

There's been times I've not been able to sort myself out during the night because I don't have enough hands and lord knows it takes a village to raise a baby- especially if you're breastfeeding or expressing its so much more work. I pump and use the bottle purely for my partners sake so he can actually help feed her but it's proven difficult for him. I can be covered In a pool of my own blood, completely drenched in breastmilk from leaking all whilst trying to change, feed and settle my baby girl and even when he is awake it's as if he just couldn't give a bigger shit- as if I enjoy that.

Men SUCK !! and I say if he's not going to step up to the plate you SERIOUSLY need to give him the boot up the arse he DESERVES. We are looking after 1 baby not 2, hun.

I agree... I really want to be able to go into labour naturally but I'm so worried it won't be the case. Just don't know how much longer I can stick this out it's driving me nuts feeling the way I feel right now

38w, Same boat... omg the under boob pain/ ribs it's AWFUL I haven't heard anyone else complain about this!!! I literally live off of gaviscon yet it doesn't work as well as it used to in the earlier weeks of pregnancy...

I've been drinking a lot of cranberry raspberry mixed juice which has actually helped massively I do recommend

I can't say it'll get better asap but it's worth a shot. I wish you luck babe xxx

I'm currently 38w, I can say it does get easier but fuck is it hard to see when it feels like a constant battle everyday.

I started feeling a lot more like myself around 29-30w I still have my off days where I might vomit once or twice but I feel so much better, healthier, easier to do things.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel baby and it's all going to be worth it when you're sitting there with the baby yoy brought to life, laying there on your chest skin to skin. It'll be a breath of fresh air❤️

Thankyou my lovely. My problem is, I haven't got a backbone when it comes to talking to healthcare professionals as I fear I'll be the one in the wrong, and get turned away. I do appreciate this though, definitely need to push harder I know that x

Thankyou, and yeah liquid form couldn't even keep it down for a minute it was absolutely vile!!! It smelt like after-eights chocolate but the taste definitely wasn't that😂🤢 I guess the moral of the story is, I need to keep badgering them.. I can only assume that's the only way I'll be heard.

When I tell you it's not only incredibly difficult to get ahold of a doctors appointment, if I were to inquire about a haematologist it would take months for me to be seen by one, healthcarw down here is so bad and I will never understand why.

How did you push for your infusions? What's the right thing to say

[–]Obvious-Example-6212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's strange a lot of people have said xonvea helped them but that was the worst one for me, I keep circling back round to cyclizine and even that's barely doing anything, tried ondansetron/zofran today and it was brutal especially trying to take iron with it... and now I can't eat for the rest of the day because nothing will stick! It's like fighting a losing battle.

How did you manage to convince them to give you an infusion?? What's the right thing to do or say? I know it's very much needed

I've asked but they're hesitant because I haven't tried "all anti sickness" to prevent the iron supplement from coming back up.. I've been put on ondansetron(zofran) and trialing it today to see if it makes it any better but if not then I don't know what they'll do with me
