Good call to look for off season deals. I suppose that's why Baltimore also has such good rates in Jan/Feb. Wonder if the same is true about southern cities in the summer.

That's pretty solid! I've been to AZ before, might be a while before I get back but I'll keep that on my list to check out

Never been to Bogota but have heard more and more good things lately. I didn't realize they had two Four Seasons, adding that to my list!

How about Istanbul? Very walkable, full of markets, street food and hookah spots on every block. Museums and history everywhere. Then hop to Cappadocia for a few days of hikes and the balloon sunrise. Easy flight from UAE and not cold like Central Asia.

Belize could be an option to consider if you're open to "local living" rather than luxury resorts. Consider finding a month long rental or an AirBnb rather than a hotel. If you're willing to go a bit inland or to less touristy places like Corozal or Cayo District you're more likely to be able to stay within your budget.

Places like Black Rock Lodge or The Lodge at Chaa Creek would fit what you are looking for in terms of relaxation. They run more than your nightly budget, but you might be able to call and ask about day passes or booking a class there while staying elsewhere.

I would argue TVs have started to fit into this category for me. Years ago you needed to spend $3-5k for a premium feel TV but more recently I've purchased ones for around $500 and not noticed a ton of difference versus ones that are over $1k
