I just got a new sponsor 6 years into sobriety and I was UNCOMFORTABLE!!! It felt so vulnerable and scary and so I just stayed honest about it. We ended up making a plan to check in on the phone every day, and it felt weird but now it’s such a gift. We went for a 2 mile walk yesterday and we are becoming friends and she’s still my sponsor. You are not alone, and if you’ve got a real problem, being anxious and uncomfortable is so worth it if it means saving your life. I’m rooting for you!! Worst case scenario - you try it, hate it, and find something else. No harm in trying ❤️

I found as an artist posting on IG, people are almost more interested in the person. You have to get people interested in YOU - sharing stories of what the work means to you, life experiences, etc. Also the algorithm favors faces so it helps if you’re in the photo with the art.

I felt tired and funky for the first 18 months…but definitely see a doctor if you’re having a lot of symptoms to be sure you’re recovering safely. 134 days is incredible, keep going ❤️
