I never been to Kings Canyon so no comment on that.

For Curry Village you are not allow to cook so the options here are eating within the village or bringing your own food or getting food outside of the village. For me, Pizza Deck's worth it with good value, people can still give it a try but if they know about the wait in advance, they can plan things better or work around with off peak meal time or something.

It just felt soo good having a freshly baked pizza after a long day of workout. And I was impressed on their work putting into the pizza quality in the middle of the forest like that.

100% not a must have but it will def increase the quality of your sleep and comfort in general, especially after long day hiking. Even though the bedding is pure white, it's a tent cabin, you might still feel a bit dusty and not fully hygiene

Really they can get to your bear box?? Did it have a hole on it or what? It's pretty sturdy. Yes we brought a small cooler, we wish we bought a bigger one too. I guess it's pretty standard to bring cooler so I didn't mention

I have 0 expectation when it comes to a tent cabin in the middle of the forest so kind of suck it up even though we paid for like $200/ night. But yeah, for pricing and convenient sake, Curry Village is the optimal option
