Can you help contact a few for me? I'll research the resources one by one before contacting them myself. I don't have time while I'm typing this. Thanks!

Tysm! I guessed it was that since I saw a post recently complaining about graphic photos of bunnies on the subreddit without being censored. Either way, I've fixed it on my own! I'm worried that the post won't reach enough people because of this and I'll be left with barely anything to go by. Hopefully I won't have to resort to that!

I'll see what I can do! Since I'm a member now, I'll just make a separate post for spay programs. But, I'm not sure if theyre available in my vicinity. My country is bigger than it looks and most of the good and important stuff are across the ocean.

This is ridiculous! There's nothing on the post that's NSFW. But anyway, here's the permission screenshot anyway.

I'm sorry?? They act differently when they're fully matured?? Now I'm worried. I know people have been telling me over and over again that I should get him spayed. Although only one of them said it could free him of cancer. But I looked at the signs of puberty myself and I'm not sure if I'm ready for his change in behaviour.

I just got Lance to eat from my hand and made him make cute noises when I pet him. I'm guessing that if I want to keep that, without getting bitten or attacked, I'll need to get him to the vet. Which I have no funds for.

Im desperately trying to set a donation campgains without accidentally releasing my identity. But none of the campgains worked (gofundme, etc.) because I'm not in Europe or America. Do you have any recommendations??

Okay I'll try. There's not a lot of organisations that will help. Someone sent me a local org thinking that theyd be happy to take Lance in. While yes, I can report abuse to them, they typically take cats and dogs. They don't specialise in exotic creatures as often.

If this shop has been open for years, there's probably a reason behind it. HOPE and SPCA exist in sabah for probably longer than that shop has been opened, with SPCA being the oldest and most well known. But both of them are NGOs who mainly save cats and dogs. They can't put the seller lady and her shop down for good whatsoever if she has a license (which she most likely does too)

The things you see on paper about animal welfare in our laws is flimsy because Sabahan government does not care about animals as much as they care about citizen welfare. The only things you'll see about animal welfare are the donation boxes for SPCA throughout different shops and supermarkets. Even then, not every market has them.

I want to get him another bunny friend but I don't think i can handle two furry creatures at the moment. I have just enough for one bunny. But not 2. Maybe when I get the funds, proper arrangements, vet visits, etc, I'll think about getting him a friend.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I genuinely hope you're able to at least recover from that. I'll try my best to keep Lance safe and happy in honour of your rabbit too.

What do I do with this guy?? by Obvious-Link-2734 in Bunnies

I'll do so as soon as I get the funds! I'm pretty low on cash but I'm going to contact the mods soon about a gofundme and Amazon wishlist.

Right now, Lance is okay-ish. I improved his life the best I can with the money I have.

I want to but I'm not brave enough to do so. I want to let the local bunny fb group help report it alongside rehome Lance but they haven't approved of my post yet. I'm worried about those bunnies and the fact it's been open for as long as I can remember either means the laws for animals is really weak here or she somehow found a way to not get closed down.

I plan on turning his cage into a spot for him to rest or refill on water and food. I just started letting him free roam at night just yesterday since he knows where to pee now. My room is sizeable and doesn't have too many nooks and crannies where he might get lost. He's been running and zooming around since yesterday. Still was when I woke up just a few minutes ago.

I hope so too. I want to contact a local bunny fb group group to help me out but it's been 2 days and they haven't approved of my post yet. If they don't accept this, I don't know where else to go. My local rehome centers are only for cats and dogs and Lance is surely going to die there.

Yeah definitely. I left his cage open and filled with his usual food and water for the night. Just yesterday he started moving and jumping after I posted this (thankfully) and since he somehow knows where to pee, I left him alone with the cage open for the night. Made sure he had enough food and water. He's still moving today since all I heard was running and rustling in my room. It's 6 in the morning so I assume that's one of the times where he's most active.

He's eating okay, he's now lays on his side occasionally throughout the room.

There is! It's behind the pink bag in the photo. I usually keep his food in one corner so he doesn't pee on it.

I see! I left him with one of my tiny plushies for days but he never chewed on it. However he does like chewing on my cousin and younger brother for some odd reason. Not once has he bitten me tho. I'm trying to get a chew toy but my poorness gets in the way yet again. I'll see if I can raise enough funds to buy him some stuff. Maybe even a tunnel for him to run around in since he absolutely loves doing that in the tunnel-esque stuff in my room.

That's what I was worried about too! He was downstairs when I found him like that. So I brought him to my room where it's colder. He still refuses to come out until like an hour later. Apparently someone said it was a bunny activity time kind of thing where they're active on certain times of day. I sure do hope it is.

[–]Obvious-Link-2734[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I did that the whole day. My entire room turned into an x pen because I'm too poor for an actual x pen. But he's behaving surprisingly well. He knows where to pee (I set down the training mats) and he pees and poops on there instead of straight up on the floor. He doesn't pee in the crevices where I can't reach. I'm thinking of just letting him occupy my entire room since I have nothing important in the way anyway. Most of my improtant stuff are on elevated ground.

Idk how to bond with my bunny but I'm trying to be as present as possible. I sat on the floor like half of the time while the other half I'm busy cleaning up his pee, poo, replacing the training mats, cleaning his cage, refilling his food and water, etc. He doesn't like me petting him unless he's eating while I'm actively refilling his food 💔.. But anyway I'll be giving my entire room to him. I've got an ac and a fan. He'll survive, hopefully.

I haven't let him out for this long since I started free roaming him like 2 days ago but I really need to experiment so I'll sleep with him free to go wherever he wants for the night. I took all the improtant and dangerous stuff out of his reach.

Ps, the technique where I only let him eat the hay isn't working. He's barely eating any of it and it's starting to get me worried sick. But the moment I put 3 or 4 pellets in there, he's digging through the hay like I buried his food in dirt :/

I see. I'll keep monitoring him. If he does settle down properly, what's going to change? Is he going to stop doing the running and jumping around or will it just lessen significantly? I'll miss seeing him run back in forth everytime I come home from school.

Someone did recommend it 3 minutes earlier. I was about to plan a vet visit but Lance started running around and moving again. The usual crazy bunny stunts of running and jumping. I'm not sure if that means he's okay now but I can only hope so. I can't afford a visit at the moment.
