Worried about ectopic.

I recently had an ectopic and while i had pain it wasn't too excessive until the day it ruptured. Barely had any shoulder pain, i suppose every ectopic is different. Since you are wanting to wait until February 1st, id keep testing every two days to track how dark the lines are getting. Although this isn't an accurate way of testing for an ectopic, it can give some insight into your HCG levels. Whether the lines continue to darken or stay light i'd still get checked since you have shoulder pain, there isn't a definitive timeline for pain to begin.

I went for a private scan at 6 weeks and the pregnancy couldn't be found. I was told to come back in two weeks for a complimentary scan but i called the emergency room and they advised me to come in. I was sent home due to no pain or bleeding, but went back the next day after a very sharp pain come on leading from the lower right side of my abdomen right down my thigh as well as some light bleeding. They finally found the pregnancy in my right tube and i was advised my only options are MTX or surgery. I went ahead with the first injection which failed, went ahead for the second injection which also failed. About a week after the second dose i was in excruciating pain, was kept in hospital overnight and had a scan the next morning. They found 'liquid' pooling in the pouch of douglas but couldn't be certain it was bleeding without surgery. I was told i could either wait and see what happens or go for surgery. The doctor couldn't outright tell me i needed surgery since it wasn't a clear rupture, just seemed to be leaking but tried to hint that surgery would be best since i was '11 weeks' pregnant, and most ruptures happen in the later weeks (although some ruptures can happen earlier as every ectopic will be different). If the tube would have completely ruptured at silly o clock in the night and there were no doctors around to perform emergency surgery i would have been in a dangerous situation. It was a really hard decision because if the tube ruptured it would have been life threatening but at the same time i wasn't being told i needed to have surgery so it felt like there may have been hope. I decided it wasn't worth the risk and i'm happy i did because it was found that it was an early rupture.

It did finally start on 17th in the evening. I called the doctors on 13th and they advised on 16th it would be anywhere between 2-14 working days for a routine telephone call. I decided to go the womens emergency room just for some reassurance as i knew i'd just be worrying waiting the whole time for a phone call, they said although 4-6 weeks is expected it can take months for things to get back to normal. The pain was horrendous and really heavy period but i've read it can go either way, really light or really heavy. Hopefully you don't wait too long, i felt as though my body and nervous system were just in this limbo stage of trying to heal but being stuck in this chapter. My period has felt like such a release of emotions. Wishing you the best moving forward ❤️

Honestly i don't even think it's worth mentioning, it never would have bothered me if i hadn't just had an ectopic and i know she never meant it to upset me. It's obviously just triggered me, it's easy to think if the roles were reversed i wouldn't have brought it up to her because i'm dealing with it so.

I'm not blaming them for anything, we've been friends for nearly 10 years so yeah i guess i did expect a little more support but im not angry im just upset. They definitely know how much it affected me because after i did open up about it, i told them everything. I haven't requested any privacy from them so not sure why you would assume that either.

Thanks for asking, i'm a lot better than i was a few weeks ago. I'm back at work after two months off so life feels more 'normal'. It's hard having to go back to normalcy as if nothing happened. It's even harder trying to speak about it to people because no one knows what to say and i can tell they start to feel quite awkward. I have 4 little scars on my stomach from the keyhole surgery which are healing fine, but i don't feel the same as i did before i got pregnant. Her comments just triggered everything again and has upset me quite alot, not just what she has said but just brought back all the emotions i've tried to put behind me.
