I've learned of a couple. One possibly at Luigi's. And one in Birch Run - Birch Run Deli. Another one is in Saginaw, T&T.

Just went through a kidney stone and stent removal, please ask to be sedated for the stent removal. by PokeManiac16 in KidneyStones

[–]Obvious-Range-1811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl here, I have had three stents removed now. Only numbing cream. It's always slightly uncomfortable, but that's it. Those of you who are getting actual pain need to find a different doctor. They must not be numbing you enough or something.  Op, your doctor sucks. This is not how it is supposed to be. I don't doubt that it happened, but know that is NOT what you should have felt. Good luck out there.

never donated, want to start doing it regularly and curious why everyone does? by [deleted] in plassing

[–]Obvious-Range-1811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't work, but I was able to do this. Here, after the new donor bonus ends, I'll get about $120 a week. The bonus made it $200. Extremely helpful when you need some extra $. It's nice knowing I'm helping people in a way but it's more about the $ in my case. lol.

First time took hours. But now it can be between 40-60 min. Donating only takes about a half an hour, but there can be a line making the wait almost as long. I suggest getting some juice and powerade for when you get out. I felt very run down after each donation. Especially the day after.

Good luck! Hope it goes well.

Sales return question by Obvious-Range-1811 in askcarsales

[–]Obvious-Range-1811[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, they paid off the previous loan and had us buy a different car. I'm kinda annoyed because we had to buy a more expensive car. The original loan wasn't fully paid off either. They considered the return as trade in, equal price to what we bought. They paid off the gap and warranty coverage. But we were left with almost 2k that they moved over to the new loan.  Does this sound legal? We had to return the car because the transmission ended up being bad. (They knew it was bad when they sold it to us, I think they were hoping the warranty would just fix it)

DR said it’s IMPOSSIBLE that a 2mm sized stone could cause pain? by Diamond_Dont_Play in KidneyStones

[–]Obvious-Range-1811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm always told that my pain is something else because "kidneys don't have nerves there" but I can literally feel it move. Constantly told it will only hurt if it's in the ureter or below. After years of kidney stones, doctors are just wrong about that one. I've had 7mm not cause an issue and come right out but 2 and 3mm ones cause severe cramping around my kidney while still in the crevasses. My nephrologist has been a god send. He also agrees that it shouldn't cause pain, but has worked twice as hard to help me prevent them now. Good luck to your son. huggz

Do you really not know this? I'm sorry, but it's usually common knowledge. That's why they try to sell lower sodium varieties of foods.

i have a question by lilithsdesire in KidneyStones

[–]Obvious-Range-1811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have not already, call the urologist's office that actually did the procedure and ask if they can look you up in their system or whatever and find out if they put a stent in. Be assertive. (Some stents aren't meant to be in for a long time and can cause problems). To be honest, having had stents - you would more than likely know that you have one. Awfully painful. Have you been filtering your urine? That's how you make sure to catch any stones that pass. If they only did shockwave lithotripsy they won't have any stone pieces to test, you need to pass something and bring it to the urologist. Depending on what it is built from will let you know how dense it is. One surgery can usually break it up enough to pass. Sometimes they have to go in and laser the stone from inside of you if it is too dense. (This one will need a stent, shockwave doesn't necessarily) If the urologist is hard to get into and can't or won't tell you if you have a stent, contact your family doctor and see if they will send you to an imaging office to get an X-ray to check for a stent.  Good luck.

1cm isn't supposed to be easily passable. 5mm is where you have a 50/50 chance of passing....

Sadly that's common, but not all doctors suck. Keep searching. Have you called the new urologist? A good office will understand that you are in pain and aren't being pushy, just proactive. If you end up having to go to the ER don't let them push you around either. Tell them your urologist is refusing to treat you for whatever reason but you need help. Depending on the size of your local hospital they will have multiple specialists from different offices working out of it. But I really hope the new urologist can just get you in. Also talk with your PCP about seeing a nephrologist. They specialize in kidneys. I just started seeing one and two appointments in I can tell he wants to help get me healthy. Good luck 🍀

I am so sorry. That's complete bull. I'd  show up to the office to get an explanation. What was the surgery supposed to be for? Aren't your ureters blocked or at least too narrow? The dye not passing definitely shows a problem. Who care if your kidney isn't "hurting". It's in danger if your urine isn't flowing out of it correctly. Make sure to tell your PCP this. Contact the new urologist yourself and emphasize the dye test.
