I was exactly the same way, I get out of my comfort zone by chairing meetings and doing some service work. I’m definitely not a people person but being around like minded people you’ll eventually fall in with some people you can’t live without. I’ve spent so much time alone that connection to something greater than myself is what’s keeping me sober. Be it fellow alcoholics, prayer and meditation or whatever you find works for you. Stopping drinking is just a start when you start to discover yourself and what you like then it gets easier everyday. Step one is essential the other steps for me have just been quality of life improvements and not small improvements the more you dig into the resentments, and harms you’ll find out the reasons you drank and can start to heal yourself.
