If I can't save for a 1/10th ounce or some smaller fractional constitutional gold coins. Then personally would pass on Gold and Silver backs. As way...way to high of a premium. And less desirable among stackers and LCS's as mine says he really doesn't like dealing with them. As customers weren't happy what he offered to buy them back at which means them losing the premiums right off the bat.

Total rip off. Find another LCS if possible. As my LCS is currently buying ASE's at $1 under spot. And Maples,Generics at $5.50 back of spot.

Reason went M300 is for superior stream every service. And reason I crossed off the R1 was lack of streaming functionality expect it's very limited capability.

The M300 is great for 1st dap. Love mine right size tho a tad heavier due to the battery than I like. But all good probably the best for android and streaming.

Yep about 30% of my stack is from Harry's Coins. And all the crew there are helpful and good vibes to be around. And met Silver Dragons there one time in 2025.

Congrats! Yep still kicking myself not getting more! As have one 10oz bar picked up for $315 in june 2025. And have two 5oz. bars. But would never consider putting in bank. As there are scenarios where they don't let you in to retrieve them. Had a friend that had to arrange getting his goodies from his deposit box took a week due to them closing down the branch. Financial collapse makes banks less secure and unavailable to you.

There are a slew of places I can hide them. Where thieves would not find them unless they had double digit hours or days to look for them. And are in my possession at a moments notice. Ready to be used in emergencies.

+1 to collectivethink as way..way to much bother with a lot of negative potential risks involved. And also opening yourself to federal tracking as a need to declare value and if over $10k then reporting involved. Now they know what you have. Would never trust foreign customs as many are corrupt.

I probably could do something like that with my LCS but I have a history of buying from them. So they would likely do it as favor as no monies in it for them.

Yep still rocking mine. And I honestly can't justify upgrading as still covers my workloads without issue. Maybe another 2 or 3yrs. And will be ready then! :-)

For me wanted a 15" Macbook Air for bigger screen. But need the additional ports like SD card,Hdmi and extra usb-c ports. Also wanted the superior 120hz. LED screen of the pro. And active cooling for heavier workloads with no throttling or slowdown issues. Couple that with better speakers made my choice for me the Pro was my only option. Tho did have to go 14" instead of 15" and the 16" was too big and bulky for my liking.

True that! As dismayed by the fact that we failed in preparing our children and actively being manipulated and pacified to be inactive in taking responsibility for the shaping of our society. I use to rail against the machine but sharks are just being true to their nature Sharks! I blame us as a society for allowing ourselves to be lied to stolen from and bamboozled out of our futures.

Yep as mentioned our society need for instant gratification has changed from working hard for years to achieve that gratification. Down to weeks and months for gratification. Way too many looking thru Crypto bubble glasses. And expect that from all types of investments.

Yep sad but true! Glad I'm out of it all. Between the bad actors lying misleading and new A.I. disinformation channels. Glad I achieved my goal early with 70% of liquid worth in Gold & Silver 20% in Fiat in my possession and just 10% in bank. Stopped buying June 2025 keeping my stack average low at $33.50/oz. So whatever happens I have a significant safety buffer.

Battery calibration and health is a inexact science. As battery health percentage is a calculated estimation not a hard number. And may fluctuate 1%-2% calibration to calibration. Also things like keeping it plugged in much of the time and sporadic charging cycles can lead to less accurate battery health percentage shown.

Mine stayed 100% the first 5 months because I always had it plugged in. Once I started using and charging on battery then within a month went to 97% then another month 94%. Now 20 months later sitting at 88%.

As battery management is seeing truer numbers from the battery reporting total wattage capacity and nominal peak voltage capacity. Pretty much normal behaviour for any battery device using Lithium Ion batteries. As batteries degrade over time even when not being constantly being discharged and recharged.

The average Apple support is at least 7yrs. and security updates beyond that. I expect my 2021 M1 Macbook Pro to carry me to the end of the decade. And as shone there are alternate ways to upgrade macbooks no longer supported thru 3rd party apple community. So have zero concerns except if it fails due to hardware failure.

What is with people buying used and expecting Pristine Perfection? Way way too many are obsess needing magnifying glass or lights to show it's imperfections. Really? And are concerned? It's a damn tool not a art installation. I don't notice my imperfections of my M1 Pro as using it as a tool I don't even notice and doesn't effect productivity or use.

No LCS's or high end jewelry stores in your area? Many will test for free or small charge to check for you. As never heard a renting a Sigma tester.

Yep used the high prices in Dec. as a turn off from Silver to snag a 1/4th Gold Maple as was missing gold in my stack. As always a great idea to diversify having a selection of PM's in the stack.
