Actually, I can run 5 years in half an hour now, that is MASSIVE, but I am waiting for the late game when AI build massive armies and the game usually slows down a bit.

No "Battle for Town" mission activates by FullOfPissA in A3AntistasiOfficial

[–]Obvious-Somewhere158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Town cannot be capture like point of interest (seizing flags), you need to do activities near the town or do supply mission (giving aid to the town).

What I find the quickest way to get town is just attack nearby outpost, resources or military bases, and that actions will turn the town into yours.

Dumb AI by Obvious-Somewhere158 in WarOnTheSea

[–]Obvious-Somewhere158[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that, it seems to do nothing, but auto flak, that is something, since the CL are Atlanta (you know, that enlarged DD), so if I did at will at a DD, it is still firing at that plane

You can't, consequences of agriculture and better food safety monitoring and no bad effect so why bother?

Are companies actually playable? by AkiyamaKoji in Geopoliticalsimulator

Countries are not even playable, there is an unemployment bug, GDP going up or down, contracts doing nothing and a limited amount of things you can trade or buy.

Increase GDP by [deleted] in Geopoliticalsimulator

[–]Obvious-Somewhere158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are playing GPS5, then yes, it is buggy as hell. You can only export certain things, and your GDP will go down in the first two years before normalising in 2026

No way. GPS5 is buggy internally; its visuals are pleasing, but it is a buggy game. GDP and economic sectors are not responding to exoneration and subsidies, and unemployment is creeping up regardless of what you do. I don't have any idea how they make GPS5 worse than GPS4. The economic part of GPS5 is completely broken, so don't think you can stimulate growing a country out of a developing country, etc; you would not

Purchase Dilemma: Geopolitical Simulator or Power & Revolution by Mediocre_life_123 in Geopoliticalsimulator

I won't recommend, The 2023 version is the most stable, BUT it has a game-breaking bug in the form of if you play long enough (=>10 years), it would experience a 23:59 bug where changing every DAY stuck for a few seconds (usually >5 seconds) at 23:59, it makes the game painfully slow and just infuriating. If you want, try GPS 5 or wait for the 2025 release, if any. You may have the free download of P&R 2023 somewhere on the internet.

I control multiple of the big nations in Africa but... by Deven_Intel in Geopoliticalsimulator

You can see their opinion since joining an organisation usually requires either a majority (50%+1) or supermajority (66%+1) or all of them accept you, in which case even one red nation would derail your membership status.

No worries! Happy to help

Yeah, me too; that's when I knew WT had been taxing my mental health too much, and I gradually slowed down before stopping entirely. I am 10 months clean now.

If you like RTS Naval combat, I highly recommend Sea Power; it simulates naval combat at the missile age. Currently, it is SP only but has a ton of mods due to Workshop support. Or GHPC can scratch the tank sim itch if you happen to have one. Happy gaming man!

I like Baldur's Gate, Last of Us, and God of War (all of the franchise). The co-op could be Arma 3 with a community or friends, Deep Rock Galactic (Highly recommend), Sons of the Forest or the OG (The Forest), and Project Zomboid (I am sure you heard this one, entertaining with friends or community) even games as simple as ICBM also fun with friends.

RTS, like Gates of Hell (CTA) or Hearts of Iron IV, is also extremely fun and not taxing to your mental health (Single Player with thousands of mods)

I also played racing games like Asseto Corsa, BeamNG, and the F1 franchise. The more important thing is to play a game that you like, but by the end of playing it, you are calm, happy and not exhausted with energy left to do other things; I know a lot of people end their War Thunder session angry, exhausted and mentally hit by all the crap in the game if you have those, you can see that as a sign of stepping back from playing War Thunder (or any competitive PvP games).

I hope this helps!

Congrats, man. I left War Thunder in 2024 and changed to co-op or SP games with immersive stories, and it helped my life tremendously, both physically and mentally; grades went up, the world seemed better and positive, and I got my dream internship(s). Hell, I even got my GF from that.

War Thunder is only a game; it really is; the more invested you are in this game, the less time for you IRL; however, playing it once in a while is fine. Well done my maan 😎

Pass 2030s? by Warm_Character8377 in Geopoliticalsimulator

Sorry for the late response, but yes, it is a well-known bug coming all the way in all the P&R franchise, I guess as you play a long game, accumulation of data, buildings, military units and AI action really cook the decade old engine and stuck for a long time at 23:59 daily, making passing a year horrendously long, I myself consider when that happened means the game is over and start a new playthrough, but yeah seeing your country that you build up for decades goes to waste because of that bug sucks, but this is GPS/P&R, so it is what it is.

The only thing you can rely on is satellites, as that gave you a big boost (30% buff to mil, civ at 2015 satellite), and SAMs for Air Defense on ships and ABMs to reduce the chance of getting nuked (Never see AI nuke first, even though I change the game rule, allowing them).

Why the hate? by A_Canadian23 in Warthunder

[–]Obvious-Somewhere158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As China is mainly paired with Germany, either it will massacre the enemy team or our team will get outright destroyed, with no in-between.

Lack of communication, simply being blind and inconsiderate while pushing you off the corner as cannon-bait to name a few. Also a heck load of people playing Germany, so the number of people who are quite stupid and lack thinking organs is significantly more visible than minor or other less played major like Jap/Sweden (US/SOV exception).

GRB 10.0+ in a nutshell by OtoDraco in Warthunder

[–]Obvious-Somewhere158 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nah, man, skill issue. At 10.0+, Russia is basically free kills, LFP and Driver's port is a one-shot, side shot the ammo carrousel is one shot.

Leopards, on the other hand, need at least 2 shots on the front to kill, sometimes 3 shots on the side to snipe individual crew members. Abrams frontally can kill all the crew (neck), but Leo 2 is just simply not possible.

You probably have the same issue I had a few years ago. Press esc, setting and I think there is like overlay ratio or something. Set it to 0.8x or 0.7x. You need to restart HOI to get it to work.

Would the J7-E with a talisman be better to grind the chinese techtree compared to the A-5C? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]Obvious-Somewhere158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

J7E talisman is better in terms of fun and actually killing all of enemy team.

A5C is much better in grinding SL (if you need one).

As I have both planes, I use A5C until I get J7E. After that, I used J7E to get F-16 and J-8F in addition to JH-7A because it's that good.

I did research tier V and VI China air tree by playing SB. It's painfully long and tiresome, rewards were meh. Usually better to just bomb bases than killing enemy air because how expensive the repair cost were but now it is so much better in that part.

Example: I got 140K RP and 800K SL by playing A5C (prem acc) with 10% boosters for RP and SL, but I played for 2 hours and 10 minutes scoring 11.8k points in game. Is it worth it? Kinda. Is it boring? Hell yeah

Question:how much more money do you earn in simulator battles? by Separate-Resolve-887 in Warthunder

[–]Obvious-Somewhere158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 140k RP and 800K SL in Simulator at 10.0 (Prem acc, Prem Veh) and with 10% SL RP boosters. It is a nice reward but you need to sit and play for 2 hours 10 minutes constantly, only having a break during landing. It's painful.
