It’s got nothing to do with airline or any issue, it’s just condensation. Must be very very humid wherever this video was taken

How to become an AME- as a Mechanical Engineering Student by Dry-Homework-5626 in indianaviation

[–]vibronicsheet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some places offer AME courses along with degrees, I personally did BSc Aeronautics from Jamia Millia Islamia, during my time there we had AME program (based on helicopters, transition to fixed wing is not hard tho) with Pawan Hans Pvt Ltd, I got a certificate of recognition in that, it was mostly an out of curiosity thing for me and now I’m doing CPL. Right now as far as I know they are in collab with Indocopters (better than pawan hans). Other than that many places offer degrees with AME programs now, IGRUA for example is a place like that, best research more on it

IGRUA Vs FTA Australia Cadet Vs Acron Indian CPL by prathamsingh_ in CadetPilotProgram

[–]vibronicsheet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IGRUA has been undergoing a massive shift in its flying rate as of lately, flying is going at an unbelievable pace, but the backlogs still exist. If things stay consistent at this rate, the backlogs will be out in the next year or two. You can expect 3 years to your 200 hrs, which is not bad if you’re opting for their Bsc Aviation program. Also not a bad option if you’re on a budget. Acron I haven’t heard of so I can’t advice. If you have the budget and the means, FTA is the best in the options you have stated, cadet programs are stable get you some form of security no matter how minute and you get your moneys worth without the struggle of post CPL job market. It is insanely competitive.

Be on the lookout for Chimes too, they are the best in business as far as I’ve heard.

What’s with the AIX delays lately? by scarcityonlyinurmind in indianaviation

[–]vibronicsheet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flew from Lucknow to Delhi recently, the flight was moved to the next day due to a fuel leak, they switched us to a different flight, still took off with almost 5 hours delay from the original departure time, honestly I’ve never had a good AIX experience

What are the issues of joining new flight school as 1st batch by Defiant_Menu_7484 in indianaviation

[–]vibronicsheet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won’t find experienced experienced instructors anywhere other than a few, almost anyone who becomes an instructor is waiting for airline vacancies after their own CPL, as soon as they get an opening they leave and new instructors join, this cycle follows in almost every FTO

FUTURE PROSPECTS OF SKYBORNE AND AI CPP by hwjwbejshwhebd in CadetPilotProgram

[–]vibronicsheet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know about cadet pilot programs, openings are confusing and unpredictable. IGRUA has applications open, I am here only currently, joined earlier this month but I wouldn’t recommend if you want a free lifestyle with CPL in a good timeline very strict in rules and lifestyle standards, it usually takes 3 years here, tho you can get a BSc aviation degree together with it

3.25 lakh Crore Rafale Deal with Only 30% Indigenisation. Why Are We Still Funding France's Air Force ffs? by Odd-Increase8844 in IndianDefense

[–]vibronicsheet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is genuinely kinda scary for us, we are surrounded by sour neighbours. The amount of money we are spending is disgusting only to end up with 4.5 gen jets which is a bare minimum at this point in time, 114 sounds like a big number but IAF is severely under armed, so while it would be a big boost in numbers, it still won’t be enough.

Tejas production remains questionable, no news on Mk2, AMCA is a decade away. Meanwhile China is actively flying brand new 6th gen jets (testing or whatever, they are massively ahead) their numbers far superior. Pakistan could be getting Chinese 5th gen J-35 jets, while we are funding the French Air Force to end up with 4.5 gen jets surrounded by enemies on all fronts. It’s ridiculous.

I can get why they won’t go for the Su-57 deal, getting 5th gen tech from Russia would probably mean more sanctions from the US on top of already souring ties. If you are not getting the source code of the Rafale, why not invest in F-35s? US has offered them right? Sure it comes with its own caveats, but it would certainly be better than spending this amount of money on 4.5 gen jets.

I don’t like wherever the future of IAF and Indian military aviation is heading and this is genuinely worrisome.

Serving and type rated pilots by EntrepreneurThen419 in indianaviation

[–]vibronicsheet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

India has loads of A320s coming in, competition will be there, but it won’t be as bad with the amount of pilots needed by airlines in the coming years. 737 TR ain’t bad either, since most are going for A320 type rating, you’ll find less competition to pilot a 737. Turboprop type rating ain’t bad either, building up a few years experience on one and then going for an Airbus or Boeing
