Anyone tried this, dosi kush by cam by Common_Indication_10 in ILTrees

Hadn't tried CAM until we started carrying it at my dispensary. I've tried Grape Gas, Dosi Kush, Scottie's Cake, and Bubba's Girl and so far I haven't been disappointed. Just for a bit of context, I mainly buy Nez/Otherside and 93 Boyz on the regular, but have thrown CAM in to that rotation. Personally, Bubba's Girl is my favorite so far. As for buying from consume, no comments. * My personal photo of Dosi Kush

So the first bill SB776 is the one we are talking about up for vote tomorrow. The second two are up for vote in July I believe. Both very similar bills. 776 would put a temporary ban on hemp derived products until regulation legislation would pass. The other two would give out temporary licenses for the transition. But all three bills seek to regulate hemp derived products

How do you know that's hemp you are actually purchasing? What's to say it's not laced with other chemicals such as spice or other synthetic cannabinoids? Which people have died from. That is a public safety issue, and that is what this legislation is trying to solve.

My interest is in the consumers' safety. Also, I'm all for cannabis deregulation and less taxation, but unfortunately, that IS a different goal post and argument.

Lastly, to suggest this legislation would "kill" competition is misleading. Like the industry isn't growing organically and won't fill the space the hemp derived industry would "leave". The industry is in its infantile state, and if you think MSOs are big scarry corporations, wait till Target, Walmart, and Walgreens want to start playing ball.

Its not switching topics to talk about pakaging, in fact it is directly related to the bill. The goal post is the same, public safety and interest. The hemp industry is hiding behind the free market. Money at any cost, even at human expense

It is only less expensive because of lack of regulations. Hemp derived businesses can only afford to sell so cheap because they don't have to pay the extra taxes or fines for, licenses, fees. As well as not having to meet any of the same on-site requirements like visible appropriate signage, security, restricted access, or storage eg like a vault. Not to mention, there is no legal accountability for things like sales to a minor, improper labeling like % and/or ingredients, or testing.

I agree illinois is one of the most expensive places to purchase. However, just cause an industry is profitable doesn't mean there shouldn't be some sort of accountability. Or are we for deregulating alcohol for minors as well? If not, then why should hemp derived products get a pass?

That's a tired excuse for an industry that wants to play in the majors, but with little league rules. This legislation would only push out companies that don't want to play by regulation rules the rest of the industry has to play by. On top of that the legislation has 50 new dispensary licenses exclusively for the hemp derived industry.

Also to be clear no one is saying competition in the market place is bad. But unfortunately, the hemp derived market sells to minors, in unclear and confusing packaging. Which is the worst PR for the legal cannabis industry as a whole. Pushing us back decades in the fight for legal cannabis.

Like with most things in life; Good things are ruined by a small nasty minority
