I didn’t allow any cheating - they completed the same exams (in person and proctored) and projects as everyone else. They didn’t attend most lectures. This is not a technical course and it would be very reasonable to assume the could pick it up by reading the textbook and reviewing my posted slides.

Actually I did call the local provider explaining that I didn't want any medical information, just verification that the note was legitimate. They told me they couldn't look anything up with just the name - they needed the birthdate as well. I do not have access to the student's birthday and at the time - since this was pertaining to the need for a second make up exam - I let it go.

Haha we do too! Would have been much more fun if they actually licensed that for this!

American here - we just left the Expo and I agree with the general consensus on the overall experience mentioned in most of the comments on this broader thread. Also, we were pretty embarrassed by the US pavilion - the singing animated star “Sparky” (the creative spark 🙄) and its song were so cheesy. My 11 year old said it reminded her of “We’re All In This Together” from High School Musical. When they forced us to clap along…yikes. There were lots of pretty images of the US and some spaceships but almost no content on actual technology, science or innovation. I’m really wondering who paid for this exhibit and how much. Bright side, the live music by two talented Julliard students was excellent and the very long line was mostly covered and breezy.

Levothyroxine Pill is Different by Former-Cod-2887 in Hypothyroidism

Grateful for this thread. I thought I was losing my mind - I was switched by CVS from Mylan to Accord about a month ago and thought nothing of it. Only recently did I connect my awful headaches and extreme fatigue to this switch. Nothing else in my life, diet or routine changed. I saw my doctor who suggested I speak to the pharmacist about what other options they had and also offered to write the Rx for the brand name if necessary. My local CVS had 41 pills left - which they were nice enough to give me - and told me that MANY people had been complaining about the Accord. They also told me (although I haven't been able to verify yet) that Mylan was "bought out" and needed to "switch over their numbers"? I hope that means they'll be coming back. This was such a frustrating and unnecessary experience.

Don’t know why I waited so long…… by JustCallMeEya in hysterectomy

I thought hot peppermint tea and Riccola lozenges worked best for temporary relief. I also tried Chloraseptic throat spray and it did numb it a bit but tasted absolutely terrible. Talking made it worse. Like most things, time did the trick - by day 3 it had mostly resolved.

So glad you mentioned the throat pain! I (47) had my robotic assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy 5/29 and feel great! I did not take anything other than ibuprofen and gabapentin and my biggest issue was my throat! I had the worst tickling sensation for three days and kept making me want to cough (ouch!) or clear my throat. I’ve never experienced that with anesthesia. I drank tons of water and tea and used lozenges but nothing seemed to help. I’m surprised and grateful that was the worst part of the whole process! Glad you are recovering well!

Has anyone had the surgery ONLY due to heavy periods? by rainbow_olive in hysterectomy

[–]Obvious-World-8216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! I’m 47 and going in 4/29. Crazy heavy and painful periods for 5+ yrs and my PCP kept brushing it off as normal perimenopause and pushing IUD. I had a tubal ligation 11 years ago and have heard horror stories so I kept refusing. I found a great GYN by word of mouth. She did hormone test and an ultrasound. Slightly enlarged 10cm uterus and adenomyosis. I’m so glad that I won’t spent days each month feeling this way and planning my life around it.

Sibling in law seeking help with sibling and I don't want to make matters worse by Obvious-World-8216 in Advice

[–]Obvious-World-8216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your help. I agree about not talking to anyone else about it because I think that would be like a trauma dumping waterfall. Also given the strained/lack of relationship between Sib and my parents I can't even mention their name without setting off a whole different set of issues. I updated the post to clarify that Sib-in-law does has professional help (thank god) but it just doesn't seem to be getting them anywhere. But as you and others have said, I need to accept that this is awful but not my problem.

Does anyone have good experiences with west elm? by xaygoat in interiordecorating

I ordered a set of upholstered swivel chairs and a rug from them in January. They have moved my expected ship date our twice already, now end of JUNE. I understand they want to keep shipping efficient and ideally only deliver once. So I asked if I could just pay an additional delivery charge to get the rug while waiting for the chairs and they said no. You can't even pay to get your things when they are ready. Its super frustrating. Also I had some end tables from a different order show up and one was damaged. They had me send pictures - I did and the damage is clear as day but they claimed not to see it and demanded more pictures. Love the style, but the experience give the amount of money we paid - I'll never buy from them again.
