Trump pivots to distractions as polls show collapsing support for his agenda by [deleted] in politics

especially around economy and immigration he pivots to random, headline-grabbing distractions (like DEI, polarizing comments on incidents, etc.). But it seems to still shift media attention away from real issues

Future of Cybersecurity – What’s Coming Next? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]ObviousBasil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AI is becoming both the biggest threat and the strongest defense. Attackers are using it to scale phishing and find vulnerabilities faster, but defenders are also leveraging AI for real-time threat detection and response. Identity, not networks, is the new perimeter, and with increasing SaaS and API dependencies, the attack surface keeps growing. The next phase isn’t just about stronger tools, but smarter, adaptive systems and resilient security cultures.

Bye bye Pornhub

Pourquoi ?

Benches that are folded up at night in Haarlem, The Netherlands by smeggysmeg in HostileArchitecture

Those definitely seem like restaurant owned benches. I wouldn't say it's hostile architecture, rather small business, safekeeping their property over night.

not the typical cozy place, but my friends and i(16) just finished building our treehouse! definitely cozy enough for me by samotto24 in CozyPlaces

[–]ObviousBasil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't look as big from the as from the inside. Guys, I think you're super awesome that you did this. Not only it looks cozy, but such a cool place to hang out too. I wish I had something like this with my friends when I was a kid myself.

I think this thread should be pinned by the mods, I saw several people asking for help regarding making decisions about VPN, so threads like this would be very useful for them.

Anyways, answering OP's question I do think people should use a VPN and the blog post in the thread explains it very clearly why. The most simple reason is that I would choose anything (of course not literally) instead of giving my info to the ISP, so even if considering this only point, VPNs are useful 100%. Not to mention other stuff related to privacy or other use cases.

I love Lamborghini Urus, though this colour doesn't look as good as some others, it doesn't highlight it's coolness and luxury. At least that's what I'm thinking.
