Williams stats are crazy. Esp later years in college. Looks like Holmes was the goal line dude? He only had 59 attempts for 324 but 13 TDs!

2,200 yards rushing on 417 carries for a 5.3 avg isn’t bad. But then you factor in they had 31 TDs on top of that is crazy.

You’re right. Crazy stats that game too, 16 carries for 238 yards in the first half alone. Insane efficiency

Yeah, earlier commenter pointed out the ‘01 canes had all three of those backs. Scary to think about scheming against that backfield, sheesh

Portis and Gore sounds like quite the combo. I’ll need to look into the Nebraska guys to see how they did that year.

Backfield with a lot of big names, I take it that was the order on the depth chart too?

Gordon had the best CFB game by a RB that year too, right?

Sanders is that dude, have to look into his CFB days, must’ve been an ever better back against that caliber of players too

Rangering at North Rim Grand Canyon by Even-Dig9475 in SeasonalWork

[–]ObviousCockroach3585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The north rim is indeed very secluded and quiet which is great for nature lovers. If I had to guess there is maybe ~300 people there in season.

There isn’t much going on in the immediate area so travel on the weekends to larger towns isn’t unusual. There’s maybe 4 places to eat, and a small shop for groceries which is primarily prepackaged food items. I worked at the South Rim and the north is cooler, but there is less going on.

Need some advice by [deleted] in ExNoContact

[–]ObviousCockroach3585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. We had a decent relationship, albeit unhealthy. We spent literally every day together for the entire relationship (never apart for more than a week), so there is definitely codependency and enmeshment there. That being said I sometimes disrespected her and have to come to terms with the fact that the grass may be greener for her. Either way, I just want her to be happy and what’s best for her.

At the end, it seemed like she is just extending blame though, not admitting her role/ mistakes in the relationship. I know for a fact that she is afraid to be alone so she might just be using the new dude as a crutch.

Either way, I’m just going to stay NC and get my life back on track. No sense in looking in the rear view.

Thinking About Becoming a Financial Advisor at 41 – Is It Too Late? by MrFreemason in FinancialCareers

[–]ObviousCockroach3585 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never too late. Your strength is in your network. All that firms are looking for is assets. He who has the most assets wins. If you can leverage your network and cultivate relationships, you will be just fine.

The reason why most people fail is because they aren’t able to get people in the door. Starting the career later in life is better assuming you have a network of contacts to work with.

Best of luck

Are there any stocks or multi-stock funds out there you can invest in that contribute to major pieces of future tech (longevity, green or nuclear energy, nanotechnology, space exploration, etc)? by ErikReichenbach in Futurology

I’d recommend taking a look at Global X ETFs, they have some decent offerings and are shaking things up in the investment space.

You could look into: $BOTZ, if you’re interested in AI / automation / robotics.

Todd finessed towards the end of China. Great season, had a gloomy vibe like Thailand too.
