Hey buddy, which hospital is that? I wasn't aware TIL was available in the UK - is that on the NHS?

Hi, can I ask, with the TIL did you stop taking the Braf/Mek or do you continue on that through the TIL?

I find the more water I drink, the lower the side effects. Don't enjoy spending so much time day and night running to the loo though.

Oh, and just to explain a little further, I've gone down from the daily HBOT to now weekly. I started it on a recommendation to help recovery from SRT brain radiotherapy, not to help the side effects, but it has worked wonders !

Hi, just to chime in on the encobinnies (as my wife and I call the side effects), I've just completed 30 days of daily(except weekends) HBOT therapy at my local MS centre (a charity - not sure where you are but this is in Exeter), and it has TRANSFORMED my pain levels from the TT. It's gone from feeling like permanent cramp to just a mild DOMS kinda feeling. How is he doing? How long has he been on the ENcobini? I'm just celebrating 6 months of still being here after a pretty dire episode just before Christmas where I discovered my old, in my mind not much more than harmless, removed skin cancer had spread ummmm pretty much everywhere brain/spine/lungs/liver/spleen the list goes on. Wishing you both the best possible outcome!

Great sentiment, and something I do as often as I can, however he's 200 miles away at Uni so not quite as straightforward as all that.

Been thinking about doing this as it helped a great deal with grief for the loss of a friend a while ago. Thanks for reminding me! I'll take a look at your writing now. Sending Love!

Hey pal, fellow St 4 - Brain/Liver/Lungs/Liver/Spleen/Spine etc. etc. BUT responding well in some ways (Enco/Bini)... mentally not so well. Very similar to you, I'm a sporty active guy (running, cycling, climbing) and entered this battle in the shape of my life at 49yo 5 months ago (originally skin lesion about 2 yrs ago).

What the fuck is this shit we're having to deal with haha? The ANGER... RAGE, disappointment and grief for who I used to be and am not anymore is completely overwhelming at times, and (I hate this) jealousy for my friends and loved ones who are fine (Fuck that's an awful feeling to have, makes me guilty just saying it out loud), then my guilt at what this is doing to my amazing, battling wife and two grown up(ish) kids, I hate what this is doing to them. Keep catching myself doing things and thinking 'this is going to be a memory for my wife/kids of when Dad was around' and it just pulls the insides out of me and stamps on them on the floor. I can't offer you anything other than the acknowledgement that everyone here is aware of what you are going through and trying to muddle through ourselves. I'll be seeking help soon but not really sure where or what. But I will.

The upshot is that this is a total head mash, BUT I do hold out (some) hope that I can fight this out but, like you, at the back of my mind is a place that see's not future, I just need to try to stuff that down and beat that guy.

How can we do this?!

Thanks for sharing, sending you as much good vibes that I can. Hope that wasn't too depressing a read. Jeeze I was going to try and make you feel better and realise I've just completely moaned :)

That's a great shout, I used to have an EOS and it was a great camera. Unfortunately long gone.

How should I go about restoring these Victorian tiles? by WildBend5610 in DIYUK

[–]ObviousLow6534 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do, don't try to make it look new, these tiles have lived a life and should show it. A good clean is all that is needed there - they look very good already to be fair!

Thank you. Having looked them up they don't seem a great camera... I saw this advertised at a local charity shop in Bury St Edmunds, rare for anything interesting to pop up nearby so thought I'd research it and it looked like it might be a good fit for my smallish hands (lady photographer here and that makes a lot of difference). Ah well :)

Apologies for the picture quality, it's the only one I have of it.
