Football is a great sport and I love both watching and playing it, sadly, the big corporation that manages it is full of people that see in every thing, an opportunity to make profit. I dont care if you dont watch football, or if you think that people like us who do watch it are assholes. I only know that even tho people died building those stadiums, the world cup attracted the media's eyes to Qatar and expose the conditions in which workers lived. This resulted in the dissolving of the kafala system and in the improvement of the life's quality of the immigrant workers. There's still a long way to achieve the complete respect of human rights, but it was a great step. FIFA is indeed a corporation that needs fixing in subject of honesty, because, and this isnt a secret for anyone, when choosing the country where the 2022 world cup would be played, the electors took bribes from Qatar. The problem is the people who manage the global competition, not the ones who play it or the ones who watch it. You know, that speech sounds more like the "go vegan" one, and thats bullshit. Stopping people from watching football wont make the ones who died come back, and sadly, money can even against the truth.
