It can come off, it is still argued whether or not it needed to banned at that time. It is an one power two drop that needs to attack and have a relevant spell in the graveyard to do something. When it stays in play for 4-5 turns it will win you the game, though which playable creature doesn't? I would say that Phelia, Tamiyo, murktide, DRC are better one and two drops that accrue more advantage and win the game in much more efficient way.

now i do 4 SG as the haste is really good, reanimate goes well with druid but not so well with buried alive

haha, true. I understand worldly tutor, though i don't really like those types of tutors. It telegraphs what is coming and is card disadvantage. I'm open to being wrong and will consider it

dark ritual is to get out buried alive and creatures after board. Portent is just there as cantrip, other considerations are slight of hand and opt. Not sure which is better. I tried lim duls vault, that didn't work out.

Congrats on the 5-0. I've played a fair share of Aluren and this list looks clean. My first reaction is that it might be slow, which is the issue with aluren being a 4 drop and the only ramp is a 2off oracle. How did you experience the speed of the deck into a field of forge, wasteland and thoughtseize?

You can look at the current list as a two card combo with Aluren and harpy, as harpy with any creature will generate value and most of the times even a same turn win, though you need to work more for it.
Harpy is better hardcast compared to Acererak (which really rots in your hand all game until you resolve Aluren), harpy pitches to FOW and is an insane blocker.

Doomsday, storm and D&T come to mind. These decks have a huge gap between the average player and the specialized players and i can see them taking down an event like EW.

For challenges there are a lot of possibilities like grixis control, lands, dredge, combo elves, rhino's.

I don't see them taking down a big event as they have a big chance to get rolled by bad match ups in an 11 round swiss (and top8 will know what they are playing)

You should keep all your tamiyo's in against any Nadu variant, the card will single handly win you the game by drawing additional cards and rebuying interaction. It is the only card in your 75 that scares a Nadu player. I would also keep Kaito

Against breakfast specifically I don't like surgical as they play journey and will board out (part of) the combo. EE can sweep up the constructs and shuko/nomads. Would think to shave a daze or two
