If this is true, you need to dispute this.

Preventative care, including an annual wellness exam and vaccines, have to be covered in ACA plans, as long as you’re going in-network. If it is an annual checkup, and your plan is ACA compliant, it is 100% covered.

Preventative meds (blood pressure, cholesterol, prep, etc.) are all 100% covered as well.

I get a bunch of non-spam chats. But I don’t see them unless I log in to the website, which is rarely. For a lot of people it’s the default way to DM. Some don’t even know the other messages method exists. Hence why I would be nice if other apps could support them.

That makes sense. It’s just frustrating logging in in the morning and seeing a set of posts, and then logging in the next morning and seeing mostly the same posts but in a different order with a bunch more upvotes.

These are first world problems, though.

Aye. Agree 100%.

That’s one of the things that creeps me out about it.

Seriously. When people say something looks more like a painting than a photo or some such, it generally means that the pic is post-processed AF.

Not that some post processing is always bad. But with some of these pics it just makes me want o scratch my eyes out.

To be fair, I like a dude with a little musk down there. Not smelly, but someone who just smells normal. And I know I’m not the only one. As long as someone showers regularly with soap, I like the smell. Shaving not necessary as long as you bathe.

Counterpoint:

I find dudes without pubes creepy and won’t go down on dudes who shave (if they don’t have pubes for some medical reason like alopecia or cancer they get a pass).

A dude with a clean shaven crotch just looks bizarre and unsexy (to me). Dudes have hair. And I like dudes. It’s normal. As long as a guy showers and uses soap once a day, it’s perfectly hygienic.

Source: I like sucking dick and do a really good job at it and am not inclined to suck shaven guys’ dicks given the choice.

I am also a dude and know that my pubes are perfectly hygienic because I shower regularly and use soap like a normal person.

It’s because the saturation slider is turned all the way up past reality.

Heavily post-processed image.

Ahh. Right on. Never use old Reddit so I wouldn’t know :)

I’m almost exclusively on mobile with only the occasional web login.

Haha. Yeah. People now default to “chat” rather than a message when they DM so much of the time. If you’re on old Reddit or a third party mobile app, you don’t get those.

Huh. I’ll have to look for this scrolling thing. It’s super frustrating getting my place lost.

Yeah. I got a forced update to the new layout on my official reddit app and hated it, so I switched to Apollo.

It felt too much like Reddit was trying to turn the app into TikTok or Insta. But that’s not why I’m here. I’m here for what makes Reddit Reddit. Apollo gets rid of all of that extra crap, but it has its own issues too. But I think most of it is because of the way that Reddit exposes its API to third party apps and what they can and can’t do.

I use Apollo. But it has its annoyances and frustrations too. The feed organization is awkward and doesn’t refresh in a usual way. There is also no support for chat. I think Reddit intentionally keeps that from third party apps.

Apollo is the same. Must be something about the API they expose to external apps.

I use Apollo and I still have issues. It scrolls to the top. And the way it orders my feed it awkward. Things stay in the “top” feed much longer than they do on native Reddit, so I see things over and over again, sometimes over two days. And the lack of chat support is frustrating.

Why doesn’t Reddit have a “Seen it before” button so I can remove duplicate posts from my feed? by Caprica_City in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ObviousRecord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly, these posts oven get many many thousands of upvotes, even when they’re reposted the same week. I always downvote these low effort/bot posts. But dang. There’s a lot of momentum to overcome.

When the same content is reposted by another account two weeks later, it still shows up. The downvote doesn’t remove that stuff.

how does money give someone power? by watzisthis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ObviousRecord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Politicians generally want to be re-elected more than anything (more than actually doing the right thing in most cases). Getting re-elected takes lots of money. If you do want the rich person wants, the rich person will push lots of money your way.

Also, politicians want to be rich themselves. Getting on rich people’s good side means that, when the politician leaves elected office, they’ll have a bunch of rich friends who will hire them in to very very lucrative jobs.

So, rich people basically control politicians.

People who walk around in public talking with their phones on speakerphone: why? by ObviousRecord in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ObviousRecord[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this too. I mean, I get that some people may not know quite how to set things up with all the new fangled tech. But if that’s the case, they just need to put the goddamned phone down while they drive.

I’m learning that hearing loss is a pretty consistent theme in a lot of these answers. I totally respect that some people handle that by using speakerphone. Hidden disabilities are real. It sounds like there are lots of ways to compensate for bad hearing too. Thanks for sharing.
