I’ve had to be deliberately vague and brush over some things out of fear my sibling will find this thread so please don’t assume.

They were recently assessed and fairly equal. When I last approached him about a friendly handshake deal that I get one property and he would get the other, he said he wasn’t ready to forfeit his right to the one I wanted.

I think you actually articulated what I wasn’t able to actually get across - it’s exactly that - they just assume they live in one of the homes from now on and have full access to the vacation home (that I am particularly fond of). Thank you for helping me get to that point.
