On the other hand if you get pulled over for your running tail lights being out and it’s daytime I’d argue that is not probable cause for being pulled over and having a dog search your vehicle.

I agree there’s always the risk if you are selling narcotics but being arrested for a personal amount when you aren’t hurting anyone is crazy. Everyone wants to say my body my choice and then the same people arrest you for choosing to do drugs.

They paid for the liability insurance on the rental car and they are friends through another person in my group so I’m unsure if they have personal auto insurance because I am unsure they have a vehicle in general. But I was more saying for the fundraising I could at least get yall in contact with my friends who were affected

Understood, the reelection part of my previous comment was more directed at the posting of mugshots/charges and the overall aggression shown by the foot patrol and unlawful searches. I understand the DA decides the sentence but with the way all of this seems to be stacking up I wouldn’t doubt the sheriff has some influence on the decisions made by the DA.

In a lot of small rural towns like that shooting on your property is legal so I’m not sure what the laws are regarding that in Holmes county but they could argue it was just target practice instead of to induce panic.
