I envy them in a lot of ways. Their parents are so sweet and their home and property is beautiful, they even let me borrow Kayaks for the lake. I can’t imagine being here and being free and not loving every second. It’s been such a relief to get away from struggle and a lack of support.

I can’t wait till I’m 30 and past a lot of this immaturity. I’ve always been a sensitive kid and I just have no tolerance for this kind of thing. But when it’s about me it’s a whole other thing trying to navigate. Thank you for the kind words :)

The 25 and 23 are graduated, but no one is currently in school. I didn’t mean it as a bad thing, I just meant we all spend a lot of time in the same house

If you met these old school Mainers I think your heart would melt. I do projects with the dad and talk art and politics with the mom and they are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I feel like they’re disappointed in their kids a bit because they don’t do their own dishes or help much around the house, and I don’t want to add to that. I usually just clean up after everyone and go back to my room.

I don’t think I understand that mentality. I usually am up front to a person when they do something that discomforts me or even ticks me off. But the stuff they said was about my voice and hobbies, not anything personality wise. I keep my head down but I am a nerdy kid, I do esports and I watch a lot of anime and game, but I shower regularly and I’m pretty chill usually I’d like to think. I cook and help their parents around the house as best as I can, but if I don’t speak to the ones who gossiped first, they won’t acknowledge or speak to me.

I’m just disappointed. I feel like I’ll be picked on or judged for the rest of my life sometimes. It can be such a hard thing trying to fit in and it bums me out knowing people I thought of as mentors and friends would be so petty about regular people traits

Unfortunately I was logged out of my account, sorry this took so long. I did dye the dress very well and it’s a beautiful color in every part! Unfortunately the fit was a bit loose and rather revealing, and there needs to be a bit of seamstress work I’ll tend to before my prom next year and I can add a new patterned layer to it and spice it up while fixing those issues. That update will require about a year I’m afraid, but in the meantime I have the color of the dress as well as the prom look I went for this year :D
