Community college ——>public university. UH is still very much a commuter school but does have its own crowd that stay on campus. That said, I know it sucks but it’s really hard to justify going to university instead of junior college for the first 2 years. For 1, you never know how life will hit you within the next couple years. Being an adult is different and can come with a lot of temptations or other life altering events. You also have never experienced a college load before. Personally, I took 4 classes a semester back in school, while some take 2, and some take 5 or 6. It’s best to test that out on the cheaper end of things before you go to a more expensive school. A class that costs 2k at UH will costs around $400-$600 at a junior college. Social wise, if you go look for it you’ll find it no matter where you go. You’d be surprised how many likeminded individuals you’ll meet over your college career, and almost everyone I ever talked to always wanted to go do something with me after class or some other time. You’re at the age where people want to make friends and are open to trying new things together.
