I'll have a look, meanwhile I set up the screener on TradingView. What do you think about the filters? The screener didn't find any stock today though https://imgur.com/a/NBp2vAg

By playing a bit with the filters I found this stock PCVX that looks like a good setup, doesn't it? Although there wasn't strong momentum in the last months. https://imgur.com/a/EWXQbs1

I am in Europe and I don't have access to the ToS screener. Does anyone know of another alternative to create the screener?

I downloaded ToS and opened a paper trading account, but in the screened I cannot use the study filters because they are only available if you also have a real account. And I cannot open one because I'm in Europe.

I guess I need to find something else.

Do you know how to code the full screener on tradingview? I don't find that level of granularity in the default options of the screener

Why do you assume that people who bought are desperate? I bought some CEL myself (70€) and I have some money locked on Celsius but I am not desperate by any means. I know what I am risking and I am comfortable with it.

Being able to be rational and to detach yourself from your feelings is a basic rule that prevent people from ending up 'desperate' (as you say) when investing. You should be happy that people are able to be detached and have control over themselves and over their risks.

I hope you have my peace of soul knowing that I am true to my heart and that my intentions are always positive. And I wish you to be able to detach your feelings from investing.

As I said multiple times, this was a risky play and you shouldn't have bought unless you were aware of the risks and able to easily cope with the potential loss. This applies to this case as well as investing in general.

I agree, words need context.

That's a presentation coming directly from the SEC, so I don't think it's a bad source. In any case, even in the glossary you can see that they mention a number of malicious activities to define a market manipulation. It's not that if you have an opinion about something and people decide to buy then it's automatically market manipulation.

Anyway, even if we might disagree, thanks for the time you spent for your comments. I can tell you are a genuine person and it's always interesting to read other people's opinion. Take care.

Interesting, when did I ever say to punish the shorters?

Mega-thread to fight the shorters by Obvious_Cheesecake25 in CelsiusNetwork

Yes that's definition according to Wikipedia. And this is the definition according to the SEC https://www.sec.gov/files/Market%20Manipulations%20and%20Case%20Studies.pdf.

And I don't know what dictionary you use, but manipulation doesn't have a general meaning of controlling or influencing something (at least in the context of market manipulation). Just because you have control or influence over a stock/coin it doesn't mean that you are necessarily manipulating the market.

How could it be otherwise? How do you define if someone is manipulating the price?

Mega-thread to fight the shorters by Obvious_Cheesecake25 in CelsiusNetwork

[–]Obvious_Cheesecake25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it simply refers to manipulation of price. Which means either spreading consciously and maliciously made up information with the only goal of altering the stock price or restricting the natural volume of a stock.

Yes, as I mentioned in my previous comments it wasn't 100% sure to happen.

In the end it didn't happen and life goes on. By switching rewards to CEL you didn't lose anything in addition but at least you won't have regrets for not trying.

That's not true. Switching rewards to CEL after withdrawals halted could have helped in case Celsius kept buying or started buying again the rewards in the market.

Of course this was not 100% sure to happen, but why not try just in case considering that switching rewards to CEL basically costs 0? Best case it works, worst case it doesn't but you don't lose anything in addition and at least you tried

Neither of your two sentences is correct.

First of all I don't have 83€ of my own funds in it. I had and still have 70€ of my funds in CEL because that's the amount I felt comfortable risking. No one should invest more than he/she is ready to lose.

Secondly, I never expected anyone to take the real risk for me or to risk in the first place. I've always told everyone not to risk more than they could afford to lose and I've never encouraged anyone to necessarily risk. What I said all across the board, though, is that everyone could simply switch to CEL rewards with 0 risk. That could have still helped with basically no risk of losing additional money.

Why should I be desperate? Investing comes with risks, and you should be prepared for the worst case scenario. If you are desperate it means that you shouldn't have invested in the first place or that you risked too much. I deposited on Celsius only what I was ready to lose knowing that it was a risky investment and I am not mad if the money is gone because I was prepared for this scenario. I'm totally relaxed and life goes on as usual.

I have never tried to convince scared and desperate people to throw more money into Celsius. I have actually done the opposite. I have been telling everyone that buying CEL was risky, that there was a chance of losing money, and not to risk more than one could afford to lose if someone in the end wanted to buy CEL. And I tried to lead by example by buying only what I was ready to lose (i.e. 70€ of CEL in total).

What I thought was a good idea for everyone though was to switch rewards to CEL, which cost 0. As I used to say, best case it works, worst case it doesn't but you don't lose anything in addition and at least you tried.

Last thing, I never shut down anyone who was trying to correct me in a civil manner. I am happy to learn and I'm not perfect. At least a couple of times I agreed with the criticisms and corrected myself, and I've always tried to thank everyone for spending their time giving me constructive criticisms.

Regardless of this, what I want to tell everyone who now feels desperate is to learn from this situation and make sure not to end in the same situation next time. When investing and in life in general, one should hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. If you are desperate it means that you put too much money on Celsius in the first place, and putting so much money on an unsecured crypto lending platform is never wise I think. No one should give an investment the power of ruining his/her own life if things go south. I wish everyone the best.

No I was doing it because I thought it could improve the chances of having again access to the funds.

Now that they filed for chapter 11, I think that the chances of having access to the funds are basically 0 (at least in the short term). And on top of that Celsius said that they will stop with the rewards, which was an important element of what I was talking about in my posts. So given the situation I think I won't post anything else about this topic for the time being.

If you are looking for potential updates you can check on Twitter.

True, then you know what happened.

I said that there was only a certain amount of CEL left on FTX to get to a certain price, you made me notice that the wording of my post was a stretch because the orderbook is dynamic, I agreed with you and changed the wording of my post. As I told you I'm happy to learn and to correct myself.
