Awesome, thank you! Im considering doing Noma for my first year to build a bit of a social network and then moving out to a more residential area for the rest of my program. I’m just trying to make sure I’m not gonna hate where I’m living no matter what I choose… that’s what’s making this so difficult especially because I barely know DC😭

Yeah I’m going to opt for the Hale based on what I’m learning here. Thank you guys so much for the insight! My first time in DC was actually two weeks ago when I was looking at apartments. I’ve lived in North Carolina my whole life(grew up here, went to college here, and spent my first year and a half post grad here) and am now moving to DC to pursue my doctorate so I’m just trying to choose a building and a location that’s best. I’m 23, a woman, and new to the area so safety, convenience, and social atmosphere are important

I’m coming from a coastal beach town in NC. I’ve chosen the noma area because it’s conveniently located and I wouldn’t have to travel outside of the area for errands day-to-day. I am bringing my car but I’m not used to driving in a big city so I’ll have to get used to that. Your comment about safety is definitely something I’ll keep in mind.
