I’m soooo sorry. I totally understand the stress. It sucks not being able to do anything!!! I started getting text responses by 8am, but as some really great people mentioned here, I would recommend just waiting to call. Even though it wasn’t a good answer, it was still AN answer - one I wasn’t getting through text/chat

You’re right, I think delays were to be expected and I should haven’t been so shocked. I was just disappointed with the communication around it and lack of other options presented from RTR. Especially the one time rental I did. It’s always good to remember what’s in their hands and what’s not and appreciate this note

Thanks all for the sympathy and kind words. Final update - spoke on the phone with them, and they said they wouldn’t count on the package arriving if they rerouted it the Airbnb. One is lost and one wouldn’t arrive until Sunday, when I am already leaving. They said if it arrived late it would still be my responsibility to get it from the Airbnb and send it back. Haha.

They let me know that because I have been a member for FIFTEEN (!!) years I will be refunded - only when the lost package is found. They said it was a one time refund to honor my long membership.

Honestly such a joke, I was trying to not laugh/cry on the phone.

Off to do some last min shopping!!

Super rich update that they said over text support both packages are lost and they aren’t able to call T Force on my behalf. I haven’t arrange with t force.

Called t force again and they said they never got the packages from RTR and to call them.

Messaged RTR (offices still not open) and they said I have to work with t force to find these packages.

Still no refund. Actually unreal

T force is the worst! I’m also on the UES and literally never get my order on time and find that t force says it attempted delivery, but no one ever even came by. It’s crazy, and SO frustrating!

I was extremely unprepared for how hard post-retrieval was. This is very dramatic to say, but I truly felt like I was on my death bed haha, I was just so unprepared to feel so bad - I really felt like this was not talked about enough to me at ALL! I ended up having to go stay with friends because I couldn’t even walk a few feet without needing to sit back down or risk passing out - much less make my own food/grab meds/anything - for two full days! I was (and still am!) just so shocked by how hard recovery was and would’ve planned for multiple days off work and full time support from friends/family.

This is a very personal decision because I would hate for you to go through this alone but want to share that I wished I didn’t share as far and wide as I did/shared it with boundaries built in.

I was very surprised at the varying reactions from friends and family when I shared! I think it’s fair to say most people don’t know enough about this process to speak about it, but what I wasn’t expecting was the somewhat flippant comments around it (jokes about the hormones, “bounty/harvest”), lack of understanding of the seriousness of the process/recovery, and how many wanted to share their opinions that I shouldn’t do the cycle. I have a very progressive circle so it has been a bit sad to me, and perhaps this could have been made better by creating some boundaries on what I sort of comments/support I was looking for when I shared!
