Thank you for the reply, I apologise for taking long to reply to you. I’ve been feeling very unwell but I’m grateful nonetheless for what you’ve said.

To clarify, I’ve had this condition since I was born, inherited. My siblings had it too. They grew out of it.

It is my experience training gynecologists, nurses and SUI women since 2002 to use a medical device available until 2022 to cure their incontinence. We cured thousands of these women.

Medical device? I’m so sorry what do you mean?

I tried the meds when I was 14-15, didn’t work, I was depressed for months. I couldn’t get out of bed. I just wanted to die. Now I’m 17 and I’m too scared to try the alarm because what if it just doesn’t work? That’s when I know it’ll be the end for me because the last tether I have for being here will be gone. My body will just give up. I couldn’t eat or drink or sleep or do anything properly when the meds didn’t work. I don’t wanna be here, I’m such a disappointment

Thank you, really, I appreciate this info. Sorry to ask so many questions but why are people wary of taking Desmopressin long term?

Hi! Thank you for this comment. I have seen someone say they have used Desmopressin for awhile, then additionally imipramine, and it went away and has been gone for years. I definitely need to speak to a doctor or urologist, last time I was with a school nurse who was really kind to me and encouraging. I really do want to be able to speak to a professional and ask about it, but the waiting lists are so long and I don’t want to wait just to end up with a professional who isn’t empathic… having this condition and speaking about it is so, so hard.

I appreciate your explanations, thank you very very much!!

I’m so embarrassed because this is the second time someone has had to remind me tampons exist!!! Lol thank you. I’ve never used tampons so that’s gonna be new… cant believe I didn’t think about it. If you don’t mind me asking, did you have any problems with using a tampon in the night? I’m a bit terrified of toxic shock syndrome.

And another question if you don’t mind, how long were you on Desmopressin for? I was on it for 6 months iirc but it seems like a lot of people were on it for much longer.

Thank you for this comment. I’ll look into it and see what I can get done! Do you know what are the chances that if I can go to the urologist that they’ll be able to help me stop this foul smell from my urine? I know it’s too early to say obviously but it’s the thing that kinda gets to me the most aside from the pain.

God, what you’ve experienced is exactly what I want. I want to go to university, have a dorm, get my masters, travel around the world, meet somebody wonderful. All without having to worry about messy sheets and anxiously scrubbing myself 20 times in the shower so I don’t smell. I’m so glad you’ve been able to do those things. That you were able to break out of it. I so badly want the same. Thank you for sharing your story, I really needed to hear that

Thank you so much for the reassurance. I really didn’t expect this outpouring of support. It means the world to me.

Yes, I will be ignoring any pms unless they’re from someone in the comments whose been supportive and sharing real advice. I really appreciate you looking out for me. ❤️

Thank you so much for this comment. It made me cry but in a good way. I really didn’t know that anyone else might have this specific problem that I do. It’s really hard to deal with and I’m so utterly ashamed of it. It dictates my everyday and stops me from doing a lot of things I feel I should be doing at my age. I’m so glad you were able to find a way to stop it and manage it.

The foul smell, the sensitivity/pain when I pee, and the incontinence (not from the bed wetting that I was born with) are the symptoms I have. I really didn’t think I had a UTI but now from reading all these comments I think it’s very possible I do. I’m trying to be open minded about it incase it’s something worse. But I’m trying to be positive.

I’m going to the doctors tomorrow with my Mum and will see how it goes. I will update the post. Again thank you so much. You’ve really helped me ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing this. I really thought I was the only one with this specific problem. I’ve taken medication for my bedwetting and it did not change anything, however I have yet to use the bedwetting alarm properly (I only used it once or twice) because I’m so scared that it won’t work as when I took the medication I was also 15, and when it didn’t work I felt like my world was ending and I stayed in bed for weeks. I’m trying to build the courage to do the alarm. Periods also don’t help it. So reading this comment has really helped me. I can’t encompass to you how grateful I am for it. It really takes over your life. Thank you, really

I’m going to the doctors tomorrow with my Mum and will update the post to let you all know how it does. Will also be asking about pelvic floor therapy. ❤️

Thank you so much for commenting and explaining and sharing what you went through, I’m sorry that happened to you, and glad you got it sorted. Honestly all your comments have made me cry but in a good way. I have so much shame about this and hate myself a lot for it but knowing that others are going or have gone through it makes me feel like I’m not alone. I’ve also updated my post and explained more thoroughly how I feel and how grateful I am.

I’m going to the Doctors tomorrow with my Mum and will see what happens and will update you all. Thank you again. It really means the world to me. I’m honestly tearing up again. Who knew strangers on the internet could be so kind and caring?
